I do not like the word yuck.
My two year old does.

We're all different OP.

anxiousmumma12 · 12/05/2018 12:05

Yes but your feeding the baby not boobing it haha

Katnisnevergreen · 12/05/2018 12:06

I agree, it’s so disgusting. Although I did see ‘milky cuddles’ on here once which almost made me vomit!

anxiousmumma12 · 12/05/2018 12:06

Milky cuddles !?
How can you have one it's just a cuddle 1

OP posts:
TeddyIsaHe · 12/05/2018 12:06

Using your incorrectly is worse imo.

anxiousmumma12 · 12/05/2018 12:08

extrapianolessons · 12/05/2018 12:08

I heard "Pass the arse wipes" in baby changing in Debenhams once Sad

TeddyIsaHe · 12/05/2018 12:09

Well come on! If you’re going to take the piss out of people for using words, use the correct ones yourself Smile

Gunpowder · 12/05/2018 12:09

I used to get disproportionately angry when DH would thrust DD1 at me whenever she cried (regardless of reason) and say ‘put her on the boob! Give her the boob!’ So YANBU if someone else is saying it but I think it’s ok if people are referring to their own

Aprilmightbemynewname · 12/05/2018 12:09

Never heard it tbh!!. When I bf my ds my dd's called it booby juice!! They were 8+9!!

Gunpowder · 12/05/2018 12:10

Sorry posted too soon.

If people are referring to their own breasts.

MouldyVoldy · 12/05/2018 12:14

I always say 'boobing' or 'baby loves the boob'
'I'm just going to boob the baby'
I think it's funny. 🤷🏽‍♀️ breast feeding sounds a bit clunky. Doesn't flow off the tongue easily.

anxiousmumma12 · 12/05/2018 12:14

Booby juice is also yuck .

It's breast milk . Milk not juice

I hate "change his/her bum" more.

"I need to change their bum"
"His bum needs changing"

You're not changing a bum, you're changing a nappy. It sounds so common.

anxiousmumma12 · 12/05/2018 12:18

Yes that to .
Your changing a nappy !

userabcname · 12/05/2018 12:19

I say boobing and boob the baby. I have stopped saying it in public though as I saw another thread on here where people were complaining about it!

Aprilmightbemynewname · 12/05/2018 12:20

Don't forget to ask the baby if it's OK to change it first remember...

Tobebythesea · 12/05/2018 12:58

I hate the term boobing. I don’t know why but it makes me feel queasy.

RavenWings · 12/05/2018 13:01

Oh god, milky cuddles is sending shivers up my spine. So twee sounding.

WeWere0nABreak · 12/05/2018 13:09

My DP used to sing a creepy song over the baby monitor to freak me out when we had Dd1 (to one of the wretched jumperoo tunes). Think a sort of slytherin type voice:

It went, "[baby] liketh thucking mummy'th boobieth. [baby] liketh thucking. Thucking a booby"...

And there's nothing you can do about it from another room Angry Luckily he's far too exhausted with the toddler to do it this time around!!

slippynips · 12/05/2018 13:12

I agree, I don’t know why but I just hate it. Baby “loves the boob” or “is on the boob” also makes me cringe.

Not as much as people who call their husbands “hubby” or the worst yet...

THE HUBSTER 🤢🤢🤢

WhatisaNarwhal · 12/05/2018 13:14

@Break

That’s really really disturbing..... it sounds pseudo sexual too... is he jealous, or trying to make you feel weird about breastfeeding so you stop?
