I have a friend staying. We had wine last night and there was about a glass left in the bottle. MY FRIEND HAS JUST DRUNK IT FOR BREAKFAST!

This isn’t normal is it?!

Also Christmas and at the airport. And we went to an all inclusive hotel in Spain a few years ago where there was always bottles of cava on the breakfast buffet. I had a glass most mornings, went down surprisingly well. I always wondered whether it was a local custom though, or whether they did it for the Brits. Sad to think of our reputation abroad if the latter.

Bucks fizz on Christmas day is it for me. Don't get the airport early morning alcohol thing. Do love a Weatherspoons eggs benedict breakfast at the airport though.

Never in those circs but 100% yes to Christmas/airport/weddings and most memorably world cup 2002 when we got kicked out of the pub at 11:20pm and were back in there by 6:30 the next morning.

Only a Bucks fizz on a handful of Christmas mornings.

I really don't get the airport thing. I've been in an airport Wetherspoons for breakfast and it's felt too early to even stomach food yet was surrounded by people drinking as though it were a Friday night Confused

Wedding day, Christmas Day and honeymoon mimosas.

I’ve done this on holidays if we woke up and there was a significant amount of champagne left over... didn’t want to waste it lol

Bucks Fizz often but that’s more brunch time. Earlier, no but I am not a breakfaster so a cup of tea is about all my switched off taste buds could manage then.

Yes especially after nights out, beer is lovely with breakfast occasionally. Never ever when working, usually a holiday thing. Drinking at night doesn't really make the alcohol less strong. I did have an alcoholic boyfriend once who drank a whole bottle of sherry before I even woke up. There are degrees of this, but the odd drink in the morning after a night out. Different.
