To hate Jo Wiley

Not personally obviously, surprisingly enough I don't know her, but I love the Radio 2 Drivetime programme and she is going to ruin it. I find her voice grating, she has a babyish breathy style that is highly irritating. The Drivetime show was perfect and now they have got rid of homework, foody Thursday with Nigel and they are getting rid of MATT!!!! Are they crazy???

I'm all for gender equality but why can't Jo share a show with Steve Wright as his show is already awful.

I know I may be getting this out of proportion but it feels like this show is part of my life and it's just gone.

Nooo! This is the first I've heard of it! I love the Simon Mayo show, confessions, Matt, all request Friday, Nige. This and Ken Bruce's show are my fave 2 through the week. Nothing against Jo Wiley but feel she is better suited to the later slot. BBC please leave this show alone you are ruing my radio listening experience grr

YANBU. As far as I'm concerned, Jo Whiley is someone who gets a freebie to Glastonbury once a year from the BBC, and that's it. I love Simon Mayo's show and I don't see what he's done to deserve having it messed around like this.

I agree with having more women around on Radio 2 but Jesus she’s soooooo boring. They should get rid of the equally boring Dermot O’Leary and give her that show. Mayo was fine on his own.

Why can't they get rid of Ken Bruce or Simon Mayo. How many old white men are needed on one radio station. They are exactly the same. OLD BORING WHITE MEN.

I once heard that radio 2 is mostly listened to by old white people, yes, because it is made by old white people. Radio one kicks them off every 10-15 years, radio 2 should as well.

I like Jo Wiley. I'm faithful to PM so won't be bothered, but I'll miss her in the evenings when I'm driving the kids around.

I am a boring old white person!! Why aren't my needs important?! That's why I listen to Radio 2 - I am exactly it's demographic. I don't care that Mayo is male - I just really, really liked his show.

I know it's pathetic but I feel like some friends have been taken away and replaced by the girl at school that I couldn't stand who always felt she was cooler than the rest of us.

I would say that currently Drivetime and Jo Wiley's show are the best things on Radio 2 (Ok I love G Norton too).

So i'm gutted they are merging, but i'm sure they will do a great job.

When I have to listen to Steve Wright....it reminds me that shows shouldn't go on forever (wonder when/if they are going to kick him to the kerb?)
