I don't know about you, but since the instamums posts I have really noticed the #AD on posts, and to be honest I had no idea I was so gullible. I loved the threads regards instamums and really think MN made a small change, well done us

@cadyheron QUICK! Get over here so they can get ragey about us being in cahoots with the patriarchy and suggest taking Valium

Reboot · 09/05/2018 11:09

I’m pretty chilled over here 😎

CadyHeron · 09/05/2018 11:09

but women compete with each other and judge each other incessantly. Sometimes it’s disgusting

I don't get that either, seems strange to me. Obvs ppl might not always like somethin, but does seem u can't do right whatevs u do as a parent, and especially as a mum. Judging whatever u do.

EeebyMum · 09/05/2018 11:10

@porkiepiesky ugh, I hate the use of faux feminism thrown at us by instamums.
There’s is actual real principles and theory behind the actual political movement of feminism. Its not just about liking each other’s posts, wearing MAMA tops, and not slagging off each other’s fringes.

PavlovaPrincess · 09/05/2018 11:10

@MarvelleGazelle she's engaged to an athlete. He who must not be named Greg Rutherford. Susie gets quite irate if anyone else mentions him in relation to her because she's done it all on her own Hmm

allaboardtheallergybus · 09/05/2018 11:10

@CadyHeron
Oh yes of course it’s about the #Ads because how otherwise would these grown women be able to discuss MOD and her kids? Let’s get this trending #whataboutthedungarees

timetogetanewfence · 09/05/2018 11:11

@cadyheron maybe I’m referring to personal experience. I’ve had some really nasty two-faces experiences and have seen mums slag off other mums at the school gates. It’s disheartening.

CadyHeron · 09/05/2018 11:13

A fucking vagina? If I don't do much shaggin would I have a non fucking vagina?

timetogetanewfence · 09/05/2018 11:13

Actually @pavlovaprincess SJ did mention a bit about how to blog, make money at it, etc, and she mentions Greg quite a lot in it about how helpful it has been that he’s supported her financially..., you may have missed that one.

PavlovaPrincess · 09/05/2018 11:15

@timetogetanewfence try reading what I wrote. I never said Susie never mentions him.

timetogetanewfence · 09/05/2018 11:18

Um. Did you not say, 1) one who must not be named and 2) she’s done it all on her own?

She literally does the opposite of those two things you said.

timetogetanewfence · 09/05/2018 11:19

She very candidly talks about how she couldn’t have done it without his support. What exactly am I missing here? Did you write something in invisible ink that I missed?

You just keep on missing the point over there, Susie.

I do love the irony of someone preaching to us all to get off the internet....er....from the internet.

To be fair to MOD, the SJ kind of "support" is so unhelpful. I hope she has some good friends with no skin in the game who can actually provide some insightful assistance and context outside the echo chamber of instagram

PavlovaPrincess · 09/05/2018 11:24

@timetogetanewfence this is obviously very difficult for you, but you missed out a crucial word so try again.

CadyHeron · 09/05/2018 11:26

Sad I don't get why people do that. I'd never have believed it was an actual thing until I started getting friendly with a group of mums in the eldest's class at school.
Some were exactly as you describe, and they fell out with each other on a regular basis and slagged each other off. Then there's me thinking "oookay" and generally eased away and found myself some normal people lol!

Therightphalange · 09/05/2018 11:26

Start another thread called AIBU to screen shot and share everything in these peoples lives and discuss them?

Sorry, but isn't that the entire point of Instagram? For these people to share everything in their lives? Confused

timetogetanewfence · 09/05/2018 11:27

People share loads of their lives on AIBU. But, they’re anonymous. Is that somehow better?

Goingovertosusanshouse · 09/05/2018 11:28

I wish I had a life coach to tell me how to live my life and tell me to breathe.
Just seen CH comment about how just saying ‘mumsnet’ raises her blood pressure!! 😂

Oh no, didn't you know that it's only 'in the last year' or so that women have started 'speaking up for themselves'? All thanks to social media innit Smile

Yes. Because it is annonymous. And MN would remove any photo that you put up showing your toddler doing a poo. Because they realise it's not appropriate

Has MOD deleted her stories now?
