Don't kit weird is the right word.

One of mine is.. I can't eat a yoghurt or cold dessert with a metal tea spoon. It has to be a plastic picnic one. Not the disposable ones the thicker type.

Yup, I have that spoon thing. A McFlurry spoon is my fav.

Soundsgood · 27/04/2018 22:53

I have to wash my windowscreen every time I get in the car, by pressing the thingy near the steering wheel.

Also if I am in a car park, I have to see if anyone has left change in the coin shute thingy Blush

ChipInTheSugar · 27/04/2018 22:54

I eat my cereal with a soup spoon Blush

Smallhorse · 27/04/2018 22:54

After a shower I tease a cotton bud into a fine point with my teeth and lips so I can stick it right into my ear to soak up the water

grumpy4squash · 27/04/2018 22:55

I have to rinse tea spoons before using them to stir tea. Even if they're clean out of the dishwasher, which they usually are.

NancyDonahue · 27/04/2018 23:11

I have one mug that I drink tea from. If anyone makes my tea in a different mug I can't drink it Blush

However, I can drink coffee in any mug, and I'll drink tea in different mugs in other people's houses Confused

Alwayssearching · 27/04/2018 23:12

I also have can't have things like beans or ' wet foods' tomatoes etc touch other items on plate

If had crumble and custard. Has to be separated in separate bowls as can't touch as goes soggy

Queenoftheblitz · 27/04/2018 23:14

I drink tea and white coffee out of a mug. But if it's black coffee it has to be a bone china cup and saucer.

ClangerTwanger · 27/04/2018 23:19

I absolutely hate the side of my hand touching paper. It makes me cringe so much. I have to wet it abit first before writing anything. I’m even thinking of investing in some sort of plastic cushion type object that can go between my hand and the paper. Now I feel odd Confused

Queenoftheblitz · 27/04/2018 23:22

Clanger maybe you had a painful paper cut once and its put u off?

catinboots9 · 27/04/2018 23:23

@Smallhorse you can buy special pointy ones that are supposed to be for make up but are perfect for what you describe

Peta11 · 27/04/2018 23:23

I take an actual cup of tea with me almost every where 🙈 school run, visiting people, the shops. Travel mugs are just weird...or maybe i am 😂🙈

ClangerTwanger · 27/04/2018 23:32

@Queenoftheblitz I don’t think I have, it’s like the friction between my hand and the paper. It just sends a shiver up my spine. Starting to think that isn’t exactly a habit though and I’ve misinterpreted the thread Grin

MurphyBrown · 27/04/2018 23:50

@ClangerTwanger
I taught a child with that issue once. I bought him a fingerless sports glove and he could write on any paper. Looked like Michael Jackson (or Alvin Stardust if you're as old as me!) but it worked 😀

Alwayssearching · 28/04/2018 00:19

I can relate to the paper one. I get that shivering I touch cotton wool balls. The pads etc are OK'ish but the cotton balls..no can do!

Can't wear socks in bed for a similar feeling too.

Whenever I put petrol in the car it has to cost a symmetrical amount (£42.24 ideally). If I put £42.25 worth in I have to squeeze a bit more in so it’s £43.34 worth

ticketstub · 28/04/2018 00:59

I can only sleep if I have wet feet. I have to put lots of moisturiser on them when I get into bed or I really struggle to get to sleep. If I need the bathroom in the night then I have to slather my feet again before I can get back to sleep. Been like this for 30 yearsConfused

ClangerTwanger · 28/04/2018 01:09

@MurphyBrown glad I’m not the only one! I don’t think i could use a glove though as the material would make me cringe too. I think it would have to be something really smooth as a barrier, like a little plastic base I can rest my hand on or something with no friction between my hand and the paper. This is so weird 😂

grumpy4squash · 28/04/2018 01:10

tickets
That is honestly slightly weird! What happens if you're on a plane or anywhere else where you have to have dry feet? Or somewhere where getting moisturizer on the sheets isn't ok?

Topseyt · 28/04/2018 01:13

I can only fall asleep in two positions - in a slightly curled position lying in my left hand side, or sitting in my chair in front of the TV in my living room.

I have to hang wet washing out to dry a certain way. Socks must be pegged out in pairs, and I get very annoyed if I end up with an odd number of them.

In short, I am an old pedant full of silly pet hates. My routines probably reflect that, I guess.

GlitterBurps · 28/04/2018 01:20

Another petrol one here, it has to be on the pound eg £52 and not a penny over.
Also I get really upset if I see Road kill animals and have a little prayer I have to say immediately.
Also when hanging clothes on the indoor airer I have to hang them in even numbers Incase an item would get lonely 😳 obviously I’m a bit ocd.

kissbeforelippy · 28/04/2018 01:31

If I'm using more than one peg to peg out a piece of washing, the pegs have to be the same colour.

GlitterBurps · 28/04/2018 01:39

Oh gosh yes...same colour pegs with equal distance between them 😳

steff13 · 28/04/2018 02:03

I have to buy things in even numbers at the store. If I need 1 of the item, like 1 container of laundry detergent, that's ok. But if I need multiplies, like gallons of milk or boxes of cereal, I have to buy an even number.
