Aibu to not want this person back in my house?

Animalsoffarthingwood · 26/04/2018 10:01

I had someone in my house recently to do some work from a well known utility company.

I let this person use the toilet as you do, and when he left I realised he'd pissed everywhere, on the toilet seat, on the floor, there were hairs on the toilet seat, it was disgusting. He had a wash in the sink and left hairs in the sink. Just gross.

I didn't know until he'd left, but doubt I'd have been brave enough to say anything anyway.

Apparently he forgot to do something when he was here, and now keeps ringing me to come and finish the job. The thing he forgot is in no way detrimental to me, and doesn't affect me in any way so aibu to just completely ignore him now?

I don't particularly want to look at him again after I had to mop his piss and pubes up from my own bathroom.

OP posts:

I wonder how many more people are going to appear and ask if the OP has considered whether it's water on the floor? 🤣

ArchchancellorsHat · 27/04/2018 20:26

Well dodgy, especially passing on your number and details, and coming back after he'd been told no. I second the pp who said it was a breach of the DPA, and while he may not care, I bet the company he works for will.

TheDowagerCuntess · 27/04/2018 20:36

I was just wondering, if he had a wash and was splashing his face, are you sure the wet on the floor and wear wasn't from that?

RTFT Monkey

Juells · 27/04/2018 20:44

RTFT

I'm sure that means Read The Full Thread, but I always read it as Read The Fucking Thread 😅

YearOfYouRemember · 27/04/2018 20:46

Me too Juells!

CakeUpWall · 27/04/2018 20:50

Nope. This is Mumsnet; it's read the fucking thread.

Juells · 27/04/2018 20:51

😁

Tillybilly1 · 27/04/2018 20:59

I would check for cameras, also ask company to reply to your complaint in writing then if he carries on take it straight to the police. Get a chain on your door too.

AL75 · 27/04/2018 20:59

I had the Tesco delivery driver come a few days ago and he really needed to use my toilet. He didn't make a mess at all but when he came out of the bathroom I really felt the urge to ask him 'did you wash your hands'?! (As you never know with men) But I didn't. I usually ask this question to my son!

boywiththebrokensmile · 27/04/2018 21:02

''Slightly off topic, but why on earth do grown men think it's fine to leave a bathroom like that? I was in my husband's mega posh city office yesterday, and I went to use the state of the art loo and there was poo smeared all over the seat and bowl. I mean, these are university educated posh boys (for the most part), I just cannot fathom the mindset of someone who leaves a toilet in that state.''

Kinda sexiest, I have seen womens toilets left in similar conditions and have lived with vile women who left shit everywhere over the toilet...

boywiththebrokensmile · 27/04/2018 21:04

''I really felt the urge to ask him 'did you wash your hands'?! (As you never know with men)''

Love how women here are all for feminism yet make digs like this against the opposite sex-some men and women are dirty-it's not unique to just males.

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 27/04/2018 21:05

Well done op glad you reported!

Cindie943811A · 27/04/2018 21:09

I remember seeing a consumer programme on tv where they’d secretly filmed tradesmen. One was filmed urinating into the sink and using laundry items to wipe himself. Seems it’s not uncommon for tradesmen to behave disgustingly in clients’ homes. Most wouldn’t but many do.
Had this man report problem re job to his office? Was he trying to cover up a mistake or had he something more in mind?
Take care

AL75 · 27/04/2018 21:33

boywiththebrokensmile it's not really digging at the opposite sex. It's just that he was a stranger using my toilet and you have no idea about their habits Grin

TheDowagerCuntess · 27/04/2018 21:35

boywiththebrokensmile. Are you lost? Did you wander in here by mistake?

You seem to find us women very annoying. Grin

BamBamIsALittleShit · 27/04/2018 21:37

@rosewhitetips the amount of times you posted the same things at the OP was bloody ridiculous. I was cringing more at that than the tales of piss soaked bathrooms.

OP I'm glad you reported him. His behaviour was unacceptable.

I'm not 'all for feminism.'

So you can just fucking do one and bore off with your sweeping generalisations........ Hmm

Vicky1990 · 27/04/2018 22:27

AL75.
As you never know with men..
I think you mean, you never know with men OR WOMEN.
Or did you mean to be sexist.

boywiththebrokensmile · 27/04/2018 23:08

''So you can just fucking do one and bore off with your sweeping generalisations........ hmm''

christ can you not see the irony in that statement? Or you prob don't know what irony means and will revert back to the f word...

willsa · 27/04/2018 23:15

I was sexually assaulted by a meter reading guy.. He also kept turning up and ringing the intercom for my flat as "he was in the area".
I have a smart meter in my family house now ( do not understand the campaign against them ) as I would NEVER EVER open a door to a man for any visit that's not prearranged.

There are obviously many perverts employed by utility companies as those jobs give them access into homes. It's sickening.

Motherwell91 · 27/04/2018 23:27

Hope they have taken you seriously op. This is highly in appropriate and even someone without anxiety would struggle with this type of harassment

FlyMaybe · 27/04/2018 23:32

My mil had someone wank into her curtains in her spare room

What? WHAT?????

TheDairyQueen · 27/04/2018 23:41

My mil had someone wank into her curtains in her spare room

Grin that sounds like a double entendre, for sure.

GinnyWreckin · 28/04/2018 03:30

I know, I thought that it sounded bad just as I hit post Grin

To clarify, her regular in front of the window curtains!

Snugglywithmycat17 · 28/04/2018 06:35
