What is your ultimate comfort food?

I’m at home in bed today (day off work) with bad period cramps and all I want is my mum’s homemade tomato soup with warm crusty bread covered in lashings of butter.
My OH’s apple crumble would go down nicely right now too.
What do you crave when you’re feeling sorry for yourself? Or when you just fancy something that you really enjoy?

Ham sandwich made with lovely fresh bread and.

Mashed potato, marrow fat peas and gravy!!! Can’t remember the last time I indulged though!

Jacket potato loads of butter loads of cheese and a big dollop of coleslaw
And about four kinder Buenos for pudding

Seems that most of you want carbs, butter and cheese when poorly. My kindred spirits!

Toast with lashings of butter and then maybe Nutella
Ambrosia tinned rice pudding
Sponge finger biscuits

Nothing that is too much effort to prepare!

All the crispy edge pieces off a roast gammon, my nan's roasties, her Yorkshire puds, carrots, cabbage and HM proper gravy with lots of black pepper on the veg and tonnes of Coleman's mustard.

For afters, butter pudding dowsed with evaporated milk and an Irish coffee.

Boiled egg, mashed up with butter and thick white toast, liberally buttered. Basically I want butter

Tomato soup with cheese on toast for dipping.
And rhubarb and ginger crumble with custard.

Oh I'm hungry now!

Roast joint with mash, roast potatoes, and lots of gravy, maybe sprinkled with cheese (only on the mash)

Fishfinger butties with lovely soft white bread. Or cheese toastie.

Marmite toast and red Coke.

Poached egg on doorstep toast if I'm really ill.

If I'm just a bit fed up then pasta especially Macaroni Cheese, sandwiches or steamed pudding or some stodgy sponge with custard. Apple pie and cream also cuts it.

Similar to Mountain, spaghetti hoops on toast with a scraping of margarine. Both of my grandmothers gave it to me when I was little. Alternatively, cheesy garlic bread and Tesco mozzarella sticks. Separate plates, lots of ketchup for the mozzarella sticks.

Ooh and my homemade soup with a massive crusty roll slathered with butter. The only downside is the seeds that get stuck in your teeth - but it's all part of the fun.

I love Macaroni cheese with bacon but my ultimate comfort food, is a massive bowl of chocolate wheeto cereal with ice cold milk.

McDonald's (McChicken Sandwich meal).

Homemade bread, warm from the oven. Slathered in salty butter. OK, I was lying: lunge into it ASAP and yelping at burnt fingers. I may have also made cuts (more likeindentations given straight out of oven) in doorstep slice in order to incorporate more butter... hangs head in shame.

@MrsCatE you can never have too much butter!
And to the pp who mentioned butter pudding... what is this food porn you talk of?

Crumbly, warm homemade cheese scones, with butter on them that melts

Takeaway! Or carby stuff cooked by anyone else.

Scrambled egg on white toast with salt and lots of butter. Mmmm
