I’m basically on suspension from work whilst there’s an investigation as I was raped by a colleague and informed the managers.

But I’m on a zero hour contract with no time line of how long this will last, whether we’ll both be let go, or anything. I’m not working so I can’t get paid and I’m so frustrated that I can’t do my job and earn money like I’m the one in the wrong.

I’m sorry everyone I just needed to rant

But you said on the other thread that he had admitted it and had been sacked?

@BMW6 OP explained it was an assistant manager who sacked him, and was then overruled by the general manager.

She also explained on the other thread that she was sent home from work, that she wasn’t there socially.

Smeddum · 23/04/2018 16:33

I’m very uncomfortable with the grilling of OP. If you doubt her story, don’t comment on the thread. It really is that simple.

WoodysRoundup · 23/04/2018 16:33

I was told he did and that he was sacked by the Assistant manager. Then the GM said he wasn’t sacked and that we’d have to both work there as I didn’t go the police. So I handed in my notice. Then the investigation all of a sudden got started

People on here and RL keep trying to catch me out in a lie and it’s exhausting as I’m not lying, my story hasn’t changed at all

With the greatest of respect, how have you being suspended/investigated when on a previous thread you said you handed in your notice? You also said you were kicked out of your job because you got upset in front of other colleagues, but now you’re suggesting that you and your attacker were suspended at the same time?

sweeneytoddsrazor · 23/04/2018 16:42

Your decision not to report him surely limits very much what work can do.

WoodysRoundup · 23/04/2018 16:43

@EdmundCleverClogs
Notice was handed in Thursday night
They wanted to start investigating Friday so we were both ‘suspended’
Saturday night I went into work not working and was asked about it by a friend, I got upset, GM kicked me out it.

This HAS to be illegal. HAS to be. Is there a union or something you can go to? You did nothing wrong and so you cannot be fired. I am fuming for you. I didn't read the other post, do you have friends and family to turn to?

But you shouldn't be on the premises at all if you are suspended, whether that is for work or socialising.

Smeddum · 23/04/2018 16:47

Tartanscarf what exactly are you getting out of badgering OP and being critical? Because I really don’t think it’s fair.

Why wouldn’t you? Worst case scenario you are badgering a woman who has just been raped because you don’t believe her. Is that acceptable? Is it right? No, it’s not. So I’m not quite sure what your agenda is, but it’s certainly not pleasant.

PurpleDaisies · 23/04/2018 16:50

No one is forcing you to post on this thread tartan. You appear to have forgotten the op is a rape victim. Your tone is way off kind here.

EdmundCleverClogs · 23/04/2018 16:53

Ok. Still a bit confused as you started a thread on Friday asking if you should hand in your notice or not.

Right, because after being raped your mind obviously works perfectly clearly. Hmm stop it.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 23/04/2018 16:59

I think a bit of perspective is needed. OP obviously deserves sympathy but unfortunately nobody can be sacked on the word of somebody else, otherwise it opens up a whole new can of worms. I think Tartan is trying to say that despite having sympathy for OP, OP cannot just expect her alleged attacker to be fired. Of course OP needs sympathy but she also needs practical advice about what to expect and about what is likely to happen regarding her work situation.

Smeddum · 23/04/2018 17:00

Why did you go there? That was ill advised

Was that necessary? No, it wasn’t.

fridaybloodyfriday · 23/04/2018 17:00

OP you need to go to the Police.

WoodysRoundup · 23/04/2018 17:04

I should add that I was told I’d have the weekend off paid while investigating. So I wasn’t told I couldn’t be in the building. It then was reworded as suspended with no mention of pay or any return date to work as on the weekend I did mention I handed in my notice as I felt they were not doing anything , that my rapist was still working there and that I wasn’t comfortable with that
