leave to do a big shop and clean my oven and we have police officers grassing on each other?

I wouldn’t take any of that too seriously- it’s the internet.

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 23:18

So far seems to be general agreement on QT that the shrine is inappropriate, certainly in the location it’s in.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 23:18

And yes, ripping off pensioners and laughing about it isn't 'just trying to survive'. It is about greed and entitlement and a complete lack of care about other people and the society they live apart from, look down on and despise. You think HV's family want your handwringing? They'd nick your purse whilst your hands were occupied.

HelenaDove · 12/04/2018 23:24

I didnt say i didnt give a shit about it DO NOT put words in my mouth.

It IS emotional blackmail to expect a child to put up with being bullied because the child doing the bullying has problems at home.

Maybe if he had had more of the right help i wouldnt have had to have been walking around school with his spit in my hair when i was 14!

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:25

Oh right Gggg, before the kids, I used to work with vulnerable adults in my day job, but those with a learning disabilities and other conditions. Yes it is sad that his kids have lost their dad, they will of course be grieving, the only people I feel very sorry for, and my sympathies lie, is with Mr Osbourne and his wife. Who will have to live with the effects of this for the rest of his life, and cannot see his final years in peace. I am angry that these vile individuals have taken that away from him. That is how I feel, these are adults who committed this crime, a 38 year old man, nearly 40, not a young teenager or child.

Yes but the plod disagree. They want the intimidating shrine to remain there. They are protecting the shrine but at the same time the pensioners cannot return home and their empty house is like a fortress because the police are worried about reprisals from the builders of the shrine. You couldn't make it up

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:27

The more intimidation and bullying that this family is doing towards this poor man and his wife, so that they have to remain under Police protection, the less I feel sorry for, I really cannot feel sorry for these vile and nasty individuals. Their dysfunctional background provides an explanation for their actions, not an EXCUSE!

Slievenamon · 12/04/2018 23:28

So its sad and they are grieving but you don't feel sorry for them? Why not? Compassion is not a finite resource.

Ggggrrrrrrr · 12/04/2018 23:30

pleasebefleabite - the humanity and empathy was likely switched off a long time ago.

SaucyJane - by offering a kind, open, non judgemental hand. By seeing past the aggression to the human, by not fighting hate with hate, by being the bigger-man and not rising to the challenge, by not calling people scum or vile or whatever else, by having compassion, by persevering, by not giving up, by being trustworthy and honest and kind, by being brave, by connecting.

On an aside - I went to uni with a girl who was a traveller. She chose not to live in halls, but in a caravan nearby the uni. She got a first class honours degree. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Also one of the most genuine and kind. I know she's an exception as many travellers do not value education in a way which might enable this, but how unfair to make assumptions about her based on her background.

I also know other travellers. Sadly, I've known two who have pretended not to be from the travelling community, who have even joined in the prejudicial discussions at work, so not to be identified as a 'pikey' and risk the labelling and prejudice against them that might entail

HelenaDove · 12/04/2018 23:31

How old are Vincents kids Do we know?

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:31

I said that I am sad they lost their dad, it is sad, I lost mine when I was 11 from Cancer, that is all I can say. I haven;t given them much thought tbh, the more intimidating and bullying their family is, I just feel cold towards that side of it.

frankchickens · 12/04/2018 23:33

FWIW I do feel genuinely sorry for his kids - they didn’t ask to be born into that.

janetlane · 12/04/2018 23:33

I don't feel sorry one bit for the family. Shoot me.

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:34

That is unusual Ggggg, usually traveller girls are expected to leave education early, to become a homekeeper, and eventually a housewife. Not all travellers are like this family, I am referring to this particular family.

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 23:34

I think some are young adults or teens, they were commenting on fb. His daughter said Mr OB should have stabbed her Dad in the leg or arm instead. That's the kind of life they sadly have, where you have someone actually saying where her father's victim should have stabbed him.

HelenaDove · 12/04/2018 23:34

There is plenty of prejudice towards social housing tenants on here and in RL.

Thats a "safe" prejudice though

Ggggrrrrrrr · 12/04/2018 23:35

Sorry I lost your dad Aeroflot Flowers

stitchglitched · 12/04/2018 23:36

I feel the same Aero and I lost my Mum just before my 2nd birthday.

HelenaDove · 12/04/2018 23:36

Aero Thanks

Ggggrrrrrrr · 12/04/2018 23:36
  • sorry, I meant sorry you lost your dad aeroflotgirl
Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:38

Thanks Gggggrrrr Smile
Unfortunately these children's life chances are greatly reduced and feel sorry for that, yes it is sad they lost their dad. They are innocent in all of this, I do agree. The rest of the family are just nasty and vile, and will continue robbing and thieving.

Slievenamon · 12/04/2018 23:38

I don't feel sorry one bit for the family. Shoot me

Not one little crumb of human feeling for little kids growing up in that terrible environment who have just lost their dad?
Do you have any feelings at all?

howrudeforme · 12/04/2018 23:38

Seems to me the family of hv have far more energy to throw at indimidating the elderly couple who were burgled than mourning for their loved one in a decent way.

Aeroflotgirl · 12/04/2018 23:40

Thanks Helena Smile, the children of that villan will feel awful loosing their dad, its horrid that he put his kids through that, left them without a father for no good reason that he was out robbing and thieving.

HelenaDove · 12/04/2018 23:41

I feel sorry for the elderly couple and the kids.
