To think this is a drug dealer messaging me?

ObiJuanKenobi · 10/04/2018 23:15

For the last 6 months every now and then I get random texts like the ones attached, I messaged back saying please stop messaging me you have the wrong number, and it stopped. All of a sudden I'm getting them again, almost daily!

What should I do? Report to police, witty reply or just ignore?
I think I can block the number somehow (anyone know how?)

Or is it something innocent and not drugs Blush

How bizarre! 😁🤔

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 10/04/2018 23:18

Just block the number and forget about it. You’re on iPhone so you do it in the i button in the text. You might have to add as contact first.

StrangeLookingParasite · 10/04/2018 23:18

Of course it's drugs.

MissMarplesBloomers · 10/04/2018 23:18

Sorry not very helpful. Can you pop into your nearest police station when passing & ask them to take a look before you block the number?

I've been dying to say this log it with 101.

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 10/04/2018 23:19

Click on the number, scroll down to block...job done 😁

Very strange though OP!

ShatnersBassoon · 10/04/2018 23:19

Hmm, there is some very subtle drug terminology in there Grin

Report it to the police if you have the time and inclination to perhaps have to hand your phone over to them. Personally, I wouldn't be able to resist replying to each one.

dontticklethetoad · 10/04/2018 23:19

Wtf?! I would block.

Prestonsflowers · 10/04/2018 23:19

Looks like a drug dealer to me.
If it’s an iPhone then tap on the number, I’m assuming it’s showing, scroll down and you should be able to block.

TokenBritPoshOfCourse · 10/04/2018 23:20

Drug dealers are obviously cold calling now. How times have changed 😂

Nicknacky · 10/04/2018 23:20

Just block them and think no more about it.

Prestonsflowers · 10/04/2018 23:20

Cross post with lots of pps

PrettyLittIeThing · 10/04/2018 23:20

I would just block. Its easily done.

ObiJuanKenobi · 10/04/2018 23:20

My DP blocked the previous number, the two photos are from different numbers and before they would come through from the same number for a week or so at a time and then a new one.
I must be on some sort of drug dealer contact sheet Blush

DH uses it too if his is dead/lost but he doesn't even drink, he's definitely not banging out the 'nose candy' Grin

cavatron · 10/04/2018 23:27

Ha ha. The dealers only gonna text previous customers OP. It’s not a mailing list! Who’s had yer phone?!

xiKGx · 10/04/2018 23:28

😂

Ummmmgogo · 10/04/2018 23:29

has anyone used your phone to buy drugs from this person? they wouldn't be doing this as a cold call thing only once you've used them once or twice.

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 10/04/2018 23:29

It is a bit odd, but I can't see any reason whatsoever for reporting it to the police 🤣 the police are there to deal with criminal behaviour not read slightly bizarre text messages.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 10/04/2018 23:31

Well clearly it's the milkman.

He's always around all night with the white stuff, clinking his bottles.

EasterRobin · 10/04/2018 23:32

What should you do? I suppose it depends whether you want to expand your nasal horizons Wink Although surely no quality drug dealer actually has to market his wares to existing customers.

ObiJuanKenobi · 10/04/2018 23:33

DP has blocked it for me again, I'm sure it's not him.
I don't know anyone who does drugs, I suspect maybe a few work colleagues might as they're pretty heavy partiers but no one close enough to me that would use my phone! Back in sixth form some of my friends smoked weed at parties by we're talking nearly 10 years ago and i don't have the same number as then. Weird! Will see if anymore come through from new numbers Hmm
DP said I should reply with 'Thank you for contacting Crime Stoppers, a member of the team will be in touch shortly regarding your message.' But what if they do know who I am and they're angry hardened criminalsGrin
