Totally prepared to be told I AIBU and I know it's a first world problem but my DF purchased DP and I a £100 voucher for Marco Pierre whites steakhouse for us to treat ourselves due to me being in and out of hospital since the beginning of December with abnormal cells found on cervix turning out to be CGIN and other issues with my womb.
We finally got around to booking last night to kind of celebrate the end of a shitty few months and I've only just read the small print. It expired on 31st March Sad
I called the restaurant to ask kindly if they would mind extending it due to circumstances the women that answered was kind and said that would be fine if I could send proof of results and hospital appointments (which I was happy to do.)
She's then gone of and spoken to the manager and manager has said point blank said no I should of told them this while it was going on. They now have £100 of my DF money and we have no amazing food Sad
We've been a few times previously and I loved it, that's why he bought it.
So AIBU in thinking they could of extended it for extra 2 weeks? I know it's my fault for not reading the small print.

frasier · 05/04/2018 11:34

Whoo, just checked your twitter!

frasier · 05/04/2018 11:37

Is that an American account? They replied at 3.29 in the morning!

The other account, the Birmingham MPW one, is saying Marco will be thereon 18th April. If you get no joy, turn up and tell him face to face!

GabsAlot · 05/04/2018 11:55

yay hope they make an apology and let you go

theluckiest · 05/04/2018 12:11

This is absolutely appalling!! I do hope they resolve this and the original twat manager gets a bollocking and some customer service retraining sharpish.

I can heartily recommend Andersons in St Paul's Square...best steak I've ever had and amazing service Grin

Redpony1 · 05/04/2018 12:57

Ohhh did you DM them? Have they sorted it??

PuppyMonkey · 05/04/2018 13:01

A-ha! Hope they do “resolve” it properly - keep us posted OP.Smile

MissionItsPossible · 05/04/2018 17:58

I don't do twitter - is it possible for people who do to all send a link to this thread in the hope that bad publicity will speed up a response

TSSDNCOP · 05/04/2018 21:42

I’ve done that before with a MPW voucher, paid £20 and had it extended. That was via a voucher company like, but not, Groupon.

SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 07/04/2018 14:10

Was there an update...????

KC225 · 07/04/2018 20:21

Still no update?

SmallBlondeMama · 07/04/2018 20:31

Wow - terrible customer service!!! Shame on them.

KizzyBear · 07/04/2018 23:42

They've asked me to send details of the time and name in which the name was booked, which I have and nothing! I'm going to email the man at head office again as the Birmingham branch don't seem too arsed.
I don't want to turn up give them the voucher and them not honour it then I'll look like a dick Grin
