AIBU?

Surprisingly good cheap products.

Posting for traffic.

I've recently got a few bits online that people have recommended for being cheap but really good for what they are. Latest purchases are a really good liquid eyeliner from Amazon for £0.64 and a baby bath seat that should be £20 but was £9.99 inc delivery!

So out of curiosity and wanting to get some stuff has anyone got any recommendations of surprisingly good products they've bought really cheaply?

Not asking for anything particular just anything that comes to mind.

Essential Waitrose limescale remover spray. Less expensive than branded products and does the job more effectively than anything I've tried previously. There's also a gel limescale remover which I rate highly.

Revlon ColourStay foundation.
I've been using the combination/oily skin version loyally for seven years. Great coverage, great price!

The superdrug fragrance free stuff. Only a few pounds but I find it better than Simple.

Most Aldi dried/cured meats.

ELF make up.

And Wet and Wild make up but not sure if that’s available in the UK.

I too love Astral and Nivea. I'm also liking my Lacura serum from Aldi.

I use chicken thighs now for most dishes as it gives so much more flavour.

Didn't expect so many replies! I'm still catching up!

I've used Estee Lauder Double wear foundation for years, at £35 a bottle.

Primark have recently started selling a dupe at £5 a bottle. It's absolutely bloody fantastic. I'll never buy the former again.

Their Jo Malone dupe fragrances are great too. I get people stopping me to ask what I'm wearing.

Agree with many of these, esp Astral skin cream, St Moritz fake tan, Aldi body products etc.

Vitamin E range by Superdrug is great (had some nice skin oil from there, not sure if they still do it).

To those saying they order fake lego sets from aliexpress, do they deliver to the Uk? I found their website tricky to navigate so not sure how to order. Any advice?

One that shocked me at just how good it was was using white vinegar instead of fabric condition. 100% as effective in softening and no smell whatsoever - I hate fabric conditioner smell which was my motivation to try it.

I bought 20 litres for £10 and I reckon it will last at least 2 years.

I wouldn't want the fake Lego on safety grounds. I'm convinced they don't use the same dyes etc as real Lego...

Boots pink curl cream in a tub, it costs £1.99 and is amazing for defining curly hair and it holds the curls for days, amazing stuff.
I bulk buy it when I see it in store because it sells out so quickly.

BeautyPie is a great makeup subscription service if you are a makeup junkie like me. Pay £10 a month standard and then pay for makeup on top of that but all amazing quality for £2/£3 - all made in the same factories as super high-end stuff (so probably essentially the same products) - really great for bulking up your makeup collection cheaply :) The setting powder and lip products are my personal faves :)

There really is no difference between Aldi shredded wheat minis and actual shredded wheat bite size other than the price.

I'm not a Coco Mademoiselle girl myself but this perfume from Lidl is a proper knock-off for only £3.99

Aldi washing powder tablets. Brilliant, never use anything else.

Lidl dishwashing tablets. Will never go back.

People talking about facial oils, do you mean cleansing oils? The Simple one, found at Superdrug, is £6.95 I think and I absolutely love it. Works brilliantly and leaves my skin feeling fantastic.

I also like the Nivea skin creams - am using the anti wrinkle one and my skin is looking as good as all the years of fancy creams.

Lidle weetbix (can't remember what they're called) are the same as weetabix and a fraction of the price.

The South African Pinotage at Lidl currently for 3.89 is a SSTEAL - I have had better pinotages, but this one is extremely drinkable and is practically free comparatively. I've been meaning to stock up before price goes up/ they stop selling it. I think it's because pinotage isn't well known in this country so the quality is high for the price.

Boots natural collection blush in pink cloud - better than benefit dandelion (I own both)

Nivea daily moisturiser normal/combination - has spf, smells lush, the perfect makeup base. I’ve used it for years.

Home bargains does a great dupe of Marc Jacobs daisy called Miss Daisy for about four quid - I actually prefer the smell, although obviously you need to reapply more often.

Lidl nappies and wipes

Wilko essence makeup, especially the nail varnish

Aldi beauty products (from shower gel, shampoos to the cleaners and face scrubs - all of it is amazing and such good quality I will never ever buy elemis again!!)

Superdrug are brill for beauty stuff too - cotton pads/face oils/wipes basically all the basic skincare stuff dead cheap but as good quality as the dear stuff. And all cruelty free

Aldi nappies and wipes - hands down the best by miles and miles.

Aldi baby food (and snacks and juice) - basically just Ella's kitchen but at 1/3 of the price

ELF make up - all cruelty free and non comedogenic and the liquid concealer is the best I have ever tried by far - no creasing and fucking brilliant coverage. I have bags darker than the devils soul and that concealer makes me look like I have a newborns skin. I think it's around £4.50 might be £6

Primark make up - it's SO good. It's hard to believe I know but just have a look at some tutorials. They have duped basically all of the leading brands and they have come out so well!!

Everything 5 pounds .com - it's just the stock that high street shops didn't sell in time, so you could be getting topshop jeans retailing at £30 for a fiver. Or a pretty little thing dress for £5 that was meant to be £50+.

Wilkinson's cleaning/laundry products. They are just dupes of big brands but at a much lower price.

Sainsbury's/Asda/primark baby clothes. I will never go into mothercare for a £40 outfit again when I can get 739178 jeans and shirts for that price in those shops. Brilliant quality too and wash amazingly well.

Primark false lashes. Pro tip - if you get lashes that look too 'perfect' and you want that natural look, just scuzz them side to side with a spoolie to rough them up abit and they will go all wispy and feathery instead of cheap and plasticy looking.

Primark home stuff, perfumes and basic clothing (like the vest tops/cami tops/long sleeve and leggings/shorts used to clean the house in - not even £4 for top and bottoms)

You can get good brand hair dye and fake tan in home bargains/b&m/savers etc for half the price. Anything that you want 'big branded' you should get it from a shop like that instead of main supermarkets.

I didn't realise that. I was going to buy my daughter a dress for her graduation but she told me she'd already bought one. It was absolutely gorgeous, really nice material and quite unusual. That's where she got it, I was shocked it only cost a fiver!
