Surprisingly good cheap products.

Posting for traffic.

I've recently got a few bits online that people have recommended for being cheap but really good for what they are. Latest purchases are a really good liquid eyeliner from Amazon for £0.64 and a baby bath seat that should be £20 but was £9.99 inc delivery!

So out of curiosity and wanting to get some stuff has anyone got any recommendations of surprisingly good products they've bought really cheaply?

Not asking for anything particular just anything that comes to mind.

Lidl face cream with gold in.

Boots Oil of Evening Primrose range (moisturiser, cleanser etc) is cheap and cheerful and I love it.

Butteredparsn1ps · 04/04/2018 21:41

I bought a small bottle of oil for a room diffuser in Body shop earlier. it was £4. Really pleased with it - smells a lot more expensive than £4!

Totally agree with Altruist suncream mentioned by a previous poster. Amazing stuff...the only cream which hasn't had my son covered in a nasty rash. Total bargain.Only available on Amazon I think.

bar soap
costs pennies and cleans well and is gentle to skin.

I can’t take the credit for this as someone mentioned it the other day on here, and I bought some but it’s awesome!!

Make up Revolution concealer. I’m a Chanel girl but this is fabulous stuff. It’s a concealer palette. £6

DownWentTheFlag · 04/04/2018 21:44

Boots essentials make up wipes. £1 each but usually on 2 for £3. Especially the ones in the pink packet

Wilko's eyeshadows are excellent. 'My Must Haves' they're called. I thought, at £1.50p each, they were worth taking a chance on. They last all day and you don't need a lot to get a good, dense colour.

I like Wilko's Skin Therapy moisturiser www.wilko.com/facial-moisturisers/skin-therapy-sensitive-skin-light-moisturiser-75ml/invt/0347911 too. Only costs £1, is nice and light but makes your skin lovely and soft. I'm in my 50s and I get rosacea but no breakouts with this.

How cheap do you want to go? How about free stuff! Sachets from cafes etc. The other day I found a Sharpie marker lying in some mud in the woods - they cost a couple of quid! Made my day! 😀

EssentialHummus · 04/04/2018 21:53

Another one for Aldi nappies and wipes, and their Mamia organic baby food pouches are great and a third of the price of Ella's Kitchen. Good for on the go.

On a related note, I LOVE Lidl for basic baby clothes during Special Buy weeks - DD has beautiful neutral-coloured organic cotton trousers and wrap-around tops from there that always get loads of compliments. I live in JoJo central and people think I'm bananas to go clothes shopping in Lidl, but they have genuinely lovely stuff.

PolloDePrimavera · 04/04/2018 21:54

Aldi Q10 serum for less than £2. I would pay much more for it, it’s the only skincare product I’m loyal to. My mum uses the caviar skin cream and she’s used all the top end brands but likes it.

Tinkobell · 04/04/2018 21:56

....the dentists have big free pots of toothpaste - nice stuff Oral B - no less. When the receptionist looks away, you can just tip the lot into your handbag!

Petalflowers · 04/04/2018 21:59

Nivea Soft moisturising cream - better than more expensive face cream

Ocado pizza base - great for making your own pizzas, (£1 for a pack,of four)

Avon Nutra cleansing stuff - soap free and always on offer, works really well,

GreenBox53 · 04/04/2018 22:00

Poundland face powder, only a quid Grin good colours and gives a good base for powder blush.

Ladiva1971 · 04/04/2018 22:00

downwenttheflag £1 each or 2 for £3? How is that a deal Grin

Lidl muesli
Lidl W5 cleaning stuff.

Aldi Lacura face creams, bought both the day and night creams after years of using dermalogica and I love them. I think they are £3 or £4. Bargain!
