@PavlovaPrincess 😂

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:07

No cady I don't, but then you don't need to read or comment on this thread either

But weirdly, you do!Wink

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:09

sofia do you see regular footage of their homes and access/exit points with the ability to zoom in to see the type of locks and security feature in the utility room? Back door? How many right turns you need to take to get into a bedroom?etc etc??

Mumofkids · 30/03/2018 20:11

Sofialemon a glossy magazine spread is hardly the same as your kids school, address, home layout.
It's clear you just don't get it. Of course kids who are being exploited are more at risk. They are being exposed to more weirdos. Do you have the followers MOFOD have?

CadyHeron · 30/03/2018 20:11

No cady I don't, but then you don't need to read or comment on this thread either

I'm interested in the discussion. You're clearly not. Fair enough.
I see we're back to crying with laughter emoticons/pulling apart pictures.
Then it's me who's apparently derailing discussion. Hmm

Mumofkids · 30/03/2018 20:12

The ridiculous knicker less stories were crass and tasteless but not something tonmoan about. No ad, no child. That's her and that's where I agree with 'don't like, don't follow'

IsThisAWindUp · 30/03/2018 20:13

Even someone like Peter Andre though when went through a phase of over exposing his kids on TV never put them into OK magazine in their school uniforms (I don’t think). I wouldn’t know where Peter Andre lived either. It feels more intrusive for many instagrammers. I really feel like a lot of them have let their guard down and lost sight of how much information they have put out in the public domain.

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:13

Why am I 'clearly not interested in the discussion' cady

Where have I shown I'm disinterested?

Fruitbowl2 · 30/03/2018 20:14

I think most celebs have pics taken at hotels/location houses for Hello etc. For that very reason.

Fruitbowl2 · 30/03/2018 20:16

I saw MOD in a current magazine article yesterday and no kids there also 👍🏻

CadyHeron · 30/03/2018 20:18

Where have I shown I'm disinterested?

Well, for starters, the fact that when people are clearly having a discussion, you say they don't have to read or follow it.
Where have I said I'm not wanting to discuss? I have been doing.

Fruitbowl2 · 30/03/2018 20:19

Please stop on the house layout thing it's so scary 🙉

faceandpalm · 30/03/2018 20:19

It was a harmless joke and I genuinely find her #fannyadmin posts funny. It was in no way meant to derail the conversation, just a light moment in the thread.

IsThisAWindUp · 30/03/2018 20:20

Come on guys, it was all going so well for a bit then ✌🏼

Sofialemon · 30/03/2018 20:22

God, you literally will not accept any other opinion on these threads. Peter Andre & Katie Price had numerous shows filmed in their homes, I've seen their kids in school uniform. The Mummy Diaries is filmed in their homes, Binky was filmed at home. Anyone living locally to these celebs will recognise the streets and houses filmed and so it's not hard to find the address (if you're the kind of weirdo that wants to).

You seem to talk shit about "instamums" that you clearly feel great disdain towards but when it is pointed out that what they're doing is no different to many, many other people you come up with crap about how it is different. IT IS NOT.

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:23

You said If you don't like them, you don't have to follow?

I replied

  • No cady I don't, but then you don't need to read or comment on this thread either But weirdly, you do!*
cornpop · 30/03/2018 20:24

In this day and age of social media I think we're all guilty of not living in the moment sometimes, reaching our phone to take a pic instead of enjoying stuff etc, fod must constantly be distracted when with the twins thinking "this'll be a good post", constantly! It must be so tiring and a bit sad.

IsThisAWindUp · 30/03/2018 20:24

Ok I stand corrected, you obviously follow the comings and goings of reality TV stars more than I do. Whataboutism arguments doesn’t mean either grammers or towie folk have got it right though.

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:26

Well cady

MID has just said she's had lots of dm's asking to see more of her accommodation!!

So it wasn't just me then after all Smile

Sofialemon · 30/03/2018 20:27

@runmummy

sofia do you see regular footage of their homes and access/exit points with the ability to zoom in to see the type of locks and security feature in the utility room? Back door? How many right turns you need to take to get into a bedroom?etc etc??

Hopefully my last post will answer the above. I've never paid close enough attention, but yes I would assume if I paused and analysed the footage I could see the above. Besides most of the insta houses are standard semi's or terraced houses so pretty much identical to any other house in the street. I could go on my local planning portal and look at anyone who has submitted plans house layout. You're being ridiculous.

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:27

*MOD

oh and look......a room your! Thanks Clemmie, you are clearly reading! Or your friends are( Put some knickers on please)

IsThisAWindUp · 30/03/2018 20:28

@cornpop I totally agree. There was a wall of parents holding phones up at the sports day at my children’s school last year. It actually really upset me. I make a conscious effort now to watch, make eye contact with my children and put my phone down now, even if I don’t have the photos I try to keep hold of the memories instead (which is hard as my brain is fried from spending too much time on my phone)

amelie427 · 30/03/2018 20:28

It is different to TV though... which is filmed by a crew and has a lot of levels of legal approval/compliance from the broadcaster during the edit before it goes to air.

Lots of subtle blurring you might not pick up on when watching, even your average reality show.

Not to mention that the contributors will be fully assessed etc before being filmed.

SM is self-produced, and self-regulated by the posters - it doesn't go through the same compliance processes as TV.

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:29

Ok sofia

I'm being ridiculous

I've had dm's from weirdos and perves like Susie has. I'm being ridiculous though

RunMummyRun68 · 30/03/2018 20:30

And I live very near Susie. Hope it's a coincidence and the weirdos aren't local to us!
