To be frank, I don't watch their programmes but don't wish them any harm. I feel sorry for anyone who ended up having problems with prescription drugs and alcohol due to pain, followed by a marriage break up, and a drink driving episode. I can't stand drink drivers but we don't yet know exactly how drunk he was at the time or when he last drank - I suspect a helluva lot of people drive after a sesh the previous night. Yes, he's been a total plonker but I've seen stone cold sober eejits do equally stupid things on the road and would his mum have got in the car if he was obviously drunk or she knew he had been drinking? He's obviously in a pretty bad place so I do have sympathy there without condoning his actions. I can't revel in the fact that he's off screen because I don't watch family entertainment - I watch boring documentaries and batshit programmes on satellite channels. And, yes, it is hard on his partner and on the people he hit, but I suspect they will be back at some point. I thought that the child was taken to hospital "as a precaution" according to the police?

It’s ridiculous to suggest that the TV company should bear some responsibility. Ant got into the car and drove it and had an accident.

Perhaps he came back too soon from his previous rehab, but he is a big enough crowd puller to tell them to wait until he’s well.

I am sorry for his mental unwellness and hope that he can overcome it. I hope too that the treatment for dependency on alcohol and prescription drugs is more successful this time round. What I’m not sorry about is that he is being held to account for his actions.

I do have a remote control which I have used on occasion to navigate away from programmes that the two of them are on. I do the same with Jeremy Kyle, Piers Morgan, Davina McCall and Matthew Wright. Probably others too.

You really don't understand that everyone is different, has a different mind and as such will have different likes, dislikes , opinions etc. It is such an arrogant character trait to think everyone should think like yourself.

They do three programmes a year, plus the odd special. Not that hard to avoid them! 7 Saturday Night Takeaways, the Jungle is what, three weeks? BGT seems to run forever but it's 11 episodes. So not really hard to avoid. Especially if you turn Itv over.

I think she's an excellent teacher and I wonder how she felt about the never-ending ramping up of the drama with the arguments, they were so scripted (and irrelevant). If I were a dance teacher, I'd rather focus on the dancing.
