To think Stephen Mulhern is a serious contender?

Another Ant and Dec thread but I have been saying for ages that I think SM is a great presenter!

I haven’t seen him mentioned as a contender and was surprised to see Phil and Holly or Cat Deely mentioned but not SM.

Am I the only one that thinks he would be really good presenting SNT?

I'd be very surprised if SM didn't want the job, I think he would be very up for it.

If they put Scarlett in it will be a joke. She isn't a presenter. Just a normal person who got lucky. Don't think she adds anything at all to SNTA. I love SM and think he's a great presenter and very natural. I've also met him and he was lovely.

David's might be but Amanda's isn't. Or do you mean she is acting nice? I've seen threads on here that say she isn't very nice in RL, no.idea how accurate that is though.

Or SM could do some magic tricks.Hes a really good magician.

I think Holly and Phil are getting overload, i like them but they are everywhere, how on earth do they spend time at home with their families

Yes, I thought of him straight away. He could be the daft one to the more serious Dec....but like Ant is I guess. Only other person I could think of is possibly Olly Murs?

I think they should give Dec the lions share but have SM do segments of SNTA. As others have said if he does a two-hander with Dec it’ll only draw comparisons with Ant.

I bet they temporarily form a 3-way presenting team with Dec, Scarlett and Stephen.

Steve n Dec - doesnt sound the same.

Dec will struggle on his own i think, he has been with Ant for decades - to suddenly fly solo will be hard for him.

It would have been too dangerous to give the job to somebody like that in case he did too good a job and the audience took to him. Somebody with a different dynamic would have been good.

Obviously they're not now, but if they were going to get a standing it would likely have been someone who had a big role elsewhere, so they were obviously just standing in temporarily.

I suspect Dec will be billed as the main presenter so as to avoid anyone being seen as a replacement for Ant. But he will probably be heavily supported by SM and Scarlet etc. so it’s in fact more of a presenting team.

They (David Walliams and Amanda Holden) have gone way down IME then, can't stand two faced people and AH in particular always seems like she is having fun with SM. But then she also insists she hasn't had anything done to her face.

He's certainly the butt of some quite nasty dressing room jokes involving those two. At the time he was off sick.

That must have been recently then as I remember he was off sick when they started filming this series. Good about Simon and Alesha though.

I like him much better than A&D now. Haven't really been able to stand them for quite a while now.

@FlashTheSloth it was rumours and basically boiled down to him being a bit of an ogler and seeming a bit sleazy, but he struck me as creepy before I heard that.

No I’m not keen on Stephen, I think Cat Deeley would be a great choice!

Cat Deeley looks weird now, as many famous woman that are getting older. Whatever they are doing to their faces isn't a good thing.

No no no, he is highly irritating!! I find him very forced and uncomfortable to watch.
