This is a quote of Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon has a number of quotes when Read through the lens of Trump are eerily prescient. Napoleon wasn’t of the same political bent as Trump necessarily, and he was certainly more cerebral, but the lust for power is the same.

I read from a link on here that he's already registered Putin2024.ru and Putin2030.ru although the whole show of having free and fair elections is a farce. He's clearly a dictator.

Speaking of farces, the warehouse article was a parody Grin I'm sure Mueller does have a lot of paperwork to look at though.

Just as long as they don't put it all in one box somewhere in a huge warehouse....

That was the exact image in my head! I’m sure that Trump would prefer it to disappear into that particular warehouse!

Thanks, Claws.

Nervous about this week. Flynn returning to rallies is a bit Confused

I've read Mueller has a strategy for if/when he is fired. I hope it's a good one Smile

Team Trump: Expect Trump to Attack Mueller More Directly

The president wants to confront more pointedly the federal probe into Russia election meddling in 2016.

Facebook shares. I do wish it wasn't called a "leak" in the media - it's so much more malevolent than that. They deliberately tried to psychologically alter the mindsets of people using highly detailed information they'd illegitimately taken from them, and not only that, but used it to pursue political agendas. Most definitely not just a leak.

Bruce Bartlett

I don't believe a single Republican member of Congress warning Trump against firing Mueller. They are all whores and cowards who will do nothing. And Trump knows it.

Agree, and by this same logic, Trump doesn't need to fire Mueller, because Trump's backers will likely ignore Mueller's findings and continue violating the law.

Trump may do it anyway out of spite, but not necessity.

I wrote about GOP inaction on Mueller findings in December:

Let's say Trump doesn't fire Mueller and the probe produces conclusive evidence of criminal behavior. Who will lay down the law? My last on GOP complicity: amp.fastcompany.com/40507354/with-trump-the-gop-is-playing-a-game-of-diminishing-returns

BREAKING; Cambridge Analytica whistleblower says company worked with Corey Lewandowski, Steve Bannon www.today.com/video/cambridge-analytica-whistleblower-says-the-company-worked-with-trump-campaign-strategist-and-steve-bannon-1189326915651

The important part of this news: "Cambridge Analytica was meeting with Corey Lewandowski in 2015 before Trump had even announced.” It was a Bannon/Mercer Trump propaganda engine, BEFORE they worked with Cruz.

You know, it's times like this that I really question the New York Times. I literally gasped when I saw the headline. WTF are they thinking? I know we've documented on this thread the number of ways they have been problematic but this doesn't need a thread explaining why it might be an issue

Pain's last post (of Bartlett & Kendizor tweets) underscores my feelings. I seriously think the only thing Scrotus could do that might make them think "maybe we better do something" would be to be caught on video committing a cold blooded murder or abusing a child. Anything else will be whitewashed or 'whataboutted' into oblivion.

We're in seriously dangerous and uncharted territory now.

This sounds spot on.

Facebook data - as scandalous as MPs’ expenses?
www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-43458110

The gathering storm over how millions of Facebook profiles were apparently exploited for political purposes raises all sorts of questions about how our data is used.

But already some in the data and marketing industries are pouring cold water on the story which the Guardian's Carole Cadwalladr has pursued with such admirable vigour.

"Nothing very new here," they say with a world-weary sigh. "This sort of thing has been going on for years." But that surely is the point - we are finally waking up to a murky world where there is little regulation, and companies can trade our personal information without a care.

Some in the data industry agree. "It's a bit like the MPs expenses scandal," says Nick Halstead, an entrepreneur who has started several data analytics businesses. He believes, that just as MPs had a rude awakening when they were caught out doing what was accepted practice for years, so data firms and the social media giants will have to change their ways.

More from the BBC under www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology
and www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cmj34zmwxjlt/facebook

There's also a link in one of the stories to this from June 2017: www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-40423629/did-cambridge-analytica-play-a-role-in-the-eu-referendum

So some coverage from BBC News, but I haven't spotted anything going into nearly as much depth as the two-programme series "Secrets of Silicon Valley" the BBC did with the OU last year.

But a clip from that has been appearing a lot the last few days! Of the presenter, Jamie Bartlett, talking to Theresa Hong of the Trump campaign: twitter.com/JamieJBartlett

Hello and thank you Claws for the new thread and little Emperor reference.

I am sticking with the warehouse image, even if it is satire.

I have added Quantum's scooters (with baskets for carrying important documents) and also a covfefe stand so that the patriots can rest from time to time.
