What a stupid boy. Worth 60 million and doesn’t get a taxi. I just don’t know how he’ll come back from this latest fiasco (drink drive car crash hits 3 year old).

His apparent liking of Scarlet Moffat was enough to put me off him.

BennyTheBall · 21/03/2018 17:27

Sometimes a breathalyser test is taken at the scene and they are 'only just' over the limit. Then by the time they get to the station to do an 'official' one, they have dropped below.

That happened to my dh once (he was a daft 17 year old) and he was released without charge.

frankchickens · 21/03/2018 17:32

Surely if he blew under at the Police station we'd all have heard about that by now?

frankchickens · 21/03/2018 17:34

He still caused the accident
Actually, we don't know that for sure. We do know he blew over the limit at the scene - if the Police are to be believed.

frankchickens · 21/03/2018 17:34

Ah ah - he's now been charged with drink driving.

BishopBrennansArse · 21/03/2018 17:39

@frankchickens he's been charged so more than likely he was over.

BishopBrennansArse · 21/03/2018 17:40

Forget it, just read your post 😂

phoenix1973 · 21/03/2018 17:41

They're over-rated and I will watch with interest to see who replaces them. I hope the little girl is ok.
Every cloud though....at least they wont revive "let's get ready to rhumble".

Oblomov18 · 21/03/2018 17:42

Hasn't he had 2 other car accidents in the last few weeks? Why was his mum in the car with him. Why didn't she stop him getting in the car in the first place, after walking the dogs.

It all sounds wierd. I can only assume that there's lots we aren't being told.

Why the sympathy? For drink driving. Concern for his problems? He chose to drive. Uber? Holly and schofield might feel differently if it was their child he hurt/had killed?

kierenthecommunity · 21/03/2018 17:42

Well he’s been charged now, so we can properly criticise him now Grin

OliviaStabler · 21/03/2018 17:44

Now we know. He has been charged.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 21/03/2018 17:48

Charged with drink driving. So failed the second intoximeter test. There's no way back from that, other than the most ludicrous esoteric legal theories.

Mind you, perhaps he'll go full FMOTL? Admiralty flag, refusing joinder? That would add to the gaiety of the nations.

Masterbuilders · 21/03/2018 18:37

He’s been charged. No more excuses, or no more, oh innocent until proven guilty. All he can do is negotiate a sentence. Drink driving is automatically guilty if you’re over and charged.

He could’ve killed someone, it maybe this time he got caught after recent accidents. No sympathy for drink drivers what so ever.

bastardkitty · 21/03/2018 18:39

It was obvious to anyone with eyes that he was off his head. I'm nauseated by the public support.

WipsGlitter · 21/03/2018 18:42

Will he go to prison?

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 21/03/2018 18:46

Will he go to prison?

Highly unlikely, unless there's some aggravating circumstances.

Quartz2208 · 21/03/2018 18:58

No he is highly unlikely to do prison time - he is likely to lose his licence and pay a hefty fine

ferriswheel · 21/03/2018 19:07

Okay. So why was it obvious to anyone he was off his head?

As in, off his head on tele, or in the car?

His poor mother must be worried out of her mind.

And does that mean he can never again set foot in America?

WashingMatilda · 21/03/2018 19:13

He’s been charged. No more excuses, or no more, oh innocent until proven guilty

Yes, I see they've all gone very quiet now Grin

BrendasUmbrella · 21/03/2018 19:14

Why was his mum in the car with him. Why didn't she stop him getting in the car in the first place, after walking the dogs.

A witness at the scene said that he shouted at his mother. He's a very powerful and wealthy individual and it's likely his mother was just trying her best to help him.

Anyway his team have decided not to scape goat his mother. They are still pushing the "mean wife causing Ant unnecessary stress" angle.

ferriswheel · 21/03/2018 19:16

Omg. I think so often about his wife. My marriage ended because of my h's addiction and inability to face up too it. The heartache they are all facing. Just thank goodness no one was hurt or killed.

littlegecko · 21/03/2018 19:18

I doubt he will struggle to come back from this. He will lose a few contracts and be the subject of unfavourable headlines for a while. Then he will write a book, do a grovelling Piers Morgan interview and come back on edgy post watershed shows.

I can't stand Ant and Dec for the record, but sadly I don't think this is the last we will see of him on TV!

ferriswheel · 21/03/2018 19:21

I really like them. But i just dont understand why no one stopped him from returning to work so soon.

Bluelady · 21/03/2018 19:24

Well they took their time but yes, he was stupid and deserves everything they throw at him now. Hopefully he won't try to come up with all sorts of excuses. Unfortunately he's so wealthy that any fine will be small change and a ban won't greatly inconvenience him.
