If you’re going to be negative and rude please stop reading here!! Okay so, by all the calendars I should be 13wks pregnant and even my stomach growing/bloating adds up, seeing as I am normally a very tiny girl this is what caught my attention most, the other symptoms have pretty much subsided except frequent urination, and smell aversions, only problem is, I haven’t got a positive urine test and no office will give me a blood test, I’ve been felt on and told everything feels as if I’m pregnant but no 100% someone please comment some good advice/opinions. (Let me know if you’d like me to add pictures, it will definitely help)

pizzayum · 13/03/2018 21:59

There really are other quite concerning things that can cause these symptoms. I do hope it's the joyful news of a pregnancy for you but please see a GP rather than speculate and assume that's all it could be

ichifanny · 13/03/2018 22:04

If it was the hook effect it would only happen in the last few weeks if OP had tested at first missed period it wouldn’t apply . It’s recommended to dilute your urine and retest if the hook effect is suspected .

BertieBotts · 13/03/2018 22:39

Unless it's a molar pregnancy, that can show the hook effect much earlier - but this is really rare, so it's unlikely to be that.

I am really surprised that they would not scan just to see what's going on? It can't be that expensive.

MadameJosephine · 13/03/2018 22:41

helen sorry if I misunderstood but I thought you were advising OP to say she was pregnant, get booked in by midwife and then go for booking scan without divulging the negative tests.

Absolutely I agree this needs investigating. There is a slim chance that OP is pregnant and urine HCG is for some reason not registering on the tests but there could equally be a other reason for her symptoms so bring honest with her GP is crucial

6triesbuttingout · 13/03/2018 23:54

Hi love, I thought I was going thru change , periods erratic, sore boobs, and feeling generally unwell. Resulted in 7.5 baby girl who is now 25 and an absolute joy. Good luck xx

RLOU88 · 14/03/2018 09:09

Great news @ 6triesbuttingout but did you get negative pregnancy tests ?

Fluffyears · 14/03/2018 17:22

A friend of my parents had negative urine and bloods so gp said she wasn’t pregnant. She very obviously looked it and at 8 months gone another dr said ‘well it’s a very pregnant bump but maybe you’ve just gained weight!’ Yes acfull two stone on her tummy?! He then had a feel of her abdomen, went white and she had a scan. 3 weeks later she had a baby boy. Not sure why the tests came back negative.

WhoUpsetTheEquilibrium · 15/03/2018 19:25

“a very tiny girl” 🤢

audHop · 15/03/2018 19:40

@WhoUpsetTheEquilibrium don't see why you would put "🤢" under this. But all I meant by tiny is people say I'm small, I'm not like underweight or super skinny but I don't have a belly normally and normally weigh 110/120. and now I weigh almost 130.

WhoUpsetTheEquilibrium · 15/03/2018 19:54

Describe yourself as a ‘tiny girl’ is weird, and utterly incorrect.

heateallthebuns · 15/03/2018 19:59

I'm not sure what the ops original question is?

Aprilmightmemynewname · 15/03/2018 20:02

At 13 weeks you would feel your uterus above your pubic bone!!

RLOU88 · 15/03/2018 20:03

I think op wants to hear from people who have been pregnant but never had a positive test, but I don’t think that’s very likely because it’s very rare. I would more advise OP to go to the doctors and find out what’s causing these symptoms

jerrysbellyhangslikejelly · 15/03/2018 20:07

OP you’re not really answering the questions posters are asking. What you need to do is very simple, make an appointment with your GP, tell them you haven’t had a period for 3 months and that your abdomen is now distended and you’ve gained weight and ask them to investigate. There are things other than pregnancy that this can be and it needs to be investigated.

falsepriest · 15/03/2018 20:09

Just go to the bloody doctors

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 15/03/2018 20:15

aud Sharron was replying to a poster called filthy. She wasn't calling you filthy!

RLOU88 · 15/03/2018 20:22

The filthy issue has been cleared up 10 times over Grin

unsurewhy · 15/03/2018 20:28

Please see a GP urgently. There's far more sinister things than pregnancy which can cause this and speculating online could be costing you valuable time if it's not a pregnancy.

NeedsAsockamnesty · 15/03/2018 21:57

unsure

Do you reckon this is a matter for the out of hours service then given that its night time and its likely her GP’s is closed.

unsurewhy · 15/03/2018 22:18

Out of hours won't be able to do much - they don't make referrals, don't do scans, dont order tests etc. OP just needs to see her actual GP rather than faff around online speculating - none of us know. Hopefully it is a pregnancy but there's other things it could be

8misskitty8 · 15/03/2018 22:38

You need to go back to your gp, no periods and a bloated stomach should be investigated.

For those saying if the op is pregnant she would have had a positive test by now if she was as far on as she thinks, that is not always the case.
My sil missed periods and did multiple urine tests which were negative. She eventually got a positive one and went to the doctors who sent her for a scan and she was almost 17 weeks pregnant.

8misskitty8 · 15/03/2018 22:40

My sil missed periods and had multiple negative tests. When she eventually got a positive she was sent the next day for a scan and she was 17 weeks pregnant. So you can get negatives for quite a while before you get a positive.

Op needs to go back to the doctor, missing periods and a bloated stomach needs looked at.

8misskitty8 · 15/03/2018 22:42

Sorry for the double posting. had to rewrite post as page crashed and thought it hadn’t posted !

LaurieMarlow · 15/03/2018 22:54

Go to your GP asap. It's highly unlikely tust you're pregnant, but you need to find out what's causing your symptoms.
