AIBU or are we all going to be trapped in the UK from next March?

So, Ryanair and Thomas Cook are inserting clauses in their booking terms to say that if your flight abroad doesn't go ahead because of Brexit that's your problem. No doubt others will follow. If any deal is ever done, to allow planes to fly, it is bound to be a lot more expensive than it is now.

Is everyone planning many years of UK-only holidaying?

Canoes?

FFS.

BrexTit · 13/03/2018 18:30

If the EU have control of all these regulations that affect the UK then the answer is for us to leave the EU as soon as possible. Otherwise they will control more and more of them. The sooner we regain our sovereignty and start controlling our own regulations the sooner we can end this blackmail to ground all UK aeroplanes

Now that really IS a Russian Bot! Has to be, right? No human is that stupid!

BishopBrennansArse · 13/03/2018 18:33

@ilovesooty douche canoes 😂

AgnesSkinner · 13/03/2018 18:40

I’m thinking more a flotilla of pedaloes to get to my holiday or business destination. Maybe the swan shaped ones?

lakeshoreliving · 13/03/2018 18:45

Obesity will soon cease to be an issue if we have to pedal to Spain on those swans, l can barely get one across a pond let alone trying to steer it 😀

BishopBrennansArse · 13/03/2018 18:47

Didn't Alton Towers flog a load off cheap a few years ago? Y'know when they put the galleons in?

frumpety · 13/03/2018 18:50

Happy times

Sharperthanasharpie · 13/03/2018 18:52

Don't all swans belong to the Queen (or this an urban myth?). I mean, if so, what better emblem of the UK regaining its sovereignty than us all going on our holibobs to the continent in a flotilla of floating swans? This is genius plan. Now, I finally understand Brexit!

frumpety · 13/03/2018 18:56

For the larger family

AIBU or are we all going to be trapped in the UK from next March?
lakeshoreliving · 13/03/2018 18:58

I'll be honest that was a bit more than I was hoping to pay, I'm going to need part of the Brexit bonus to cover the cost of my swan.

frumpety · 13/03/2018 18:58

Actually I think Harry and Megs should float down the Thames from Windsor after their wedding on one of these #propersovereignstuff

AgnesSkinner · 13/03/2018 19:12

Or howabout the ones with a slide on the back? Like in flight entertainment but a bit wetter. And colder. And less enjoyable. How very British.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 13/03/2018 19:21

If the EU grounds all our planes wont that make it easy for Russia to invade us? Is this the EUs punishment for standing up for our rights? It would explain all the Russia bots on here stirring up nonsense of us being 'trapped'.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/03/2018 19:21

We have to leave sooner, otherwise the EU wise up to it and will ground the swans.

PortiaCastis · 13/03/2018 19:23

We're the Country Which has signed away the open skies agreements so we cannot blame the EU

frumpety · 13/03/2018 19:23

That's right Walking those pesky Russians are after our Swans , they will never take them alive , oh hang on ......

BrexTit · 13/03/2018 19:23

LOL! You are SO good at this! More please...its too funny Grin

BishopBrennansArse · 13/03/2018 19:25

Portia - Brexiteers can, they can blame the EU for anything and everything

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 13/03/2018 19:26

I shall not be grounded.

My mother tried and gave up and she's more formidable than the EU and Putting put together.

lakeshoreliving · 13/03/2018 19:27

walking This would be the same EU that said they would stand against Russia with us following Salisbury? Long before Trump worked out what he was saying.

We are walking away from this agreement. We need to organize another. The EU hasn't asked us to leave we have chosen to.

I imagine we will cobble something together that will be worse than what we have now, based on what US is offering us but I am an optimist.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 13/03/2018 19:37

We are walking away from this agreement. We need to organize another. That's what we are doing, chillax.

I do find it interesting that whenever the EU or US make an opening suggestion over a future agreement all the Leavers assume that is what will happen and its the best we will get. Yet when the UK makes an opening offer, its assumed to be ridiculous and will never happen. That is not the way it works and is why Leavers think some people in the UK actually want us to get a bad deal and are being unpatriotic.

Lets support the home team to get a good deal, you can have a good moan about it afterwards if you dont like it.

BishopBrennansArse · 13/03/2018 19:40

When are we doing it?
Because the negotiations that must take place before this agreement and trade agreements aren't happening at all!

AgnesSkinner · 13/03/2018 19:42

Lets support the home team

Yeah, that always works. Knocked out in the first round is where we usually end up.

Eltonjohnssyrup · 13/03/2018 19:43

Actually lakes, as far as Brexit goes I think this stuff with Russia is an absolute blessing and our Trump card. The EU will need to maintain a good relationship with us to have a united front against Russia.
