Date movie.
It has alisonhannigan in and we thought it might be light hearted
It was dire. Utter crap. And I have a high threshold for crap, can watch most rubbish as long as its entertaining

Ooh ooh I have another one: 'happy go lucky' utterly pointless, poorly acted, shite script with an utterly baffling night scene featuring a homeless man in a weird dream sequence type scene that made no sense whatsoever.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 04/03/2018 22:25

And anything by Adam Sandler, because I don't mind suspending my belief system, however it's taking the piss that he expect us to believe that a man who is so chubby he can't tuck his shirt into his trousers would actually have likes of stunners such as Brooklyn Decker, Jennifer Aniston, Selma Hayek, Drew Barrymore, Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale chasing him 🙄

Hassled · 04/03/2018 22:26

Furry Vengeance is the only film I've ever walked out of. And it was so bad that the kids actually asked me if we could walk out.

Steaksauce · 04/03/2018 22:26

Sausage Party.

I should have guessed really but it was awful.

ElenOfTheWays · 04/03/2018 22:27

Waterworld. I thought it would NEVER end. And it never got to the point either. Or maybe I was asleep by then.

I have also seen, to my shame, Santa Claus Vs the Martians. Don't bother.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 04/03/2018 22:27

Kerala, agree with that!

One of the bridesmaid s scenes that has me in stitches is on the plane "help me I'm poor" and "Stove, are you an appliance?!" It is also a rare movie passing the Bechdel test, though they talk about men a lot, so may be wrong there.

My husband was a bit shocked by that movie Grin

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 04/03/2018 22:28

@cherrychaserdotmuncher
I think that’s the point... I love Adam sandler but never take his movies seriously.
I think I’m like the only person on the planet that hates Star Wars. I just cannot deal... or understand the hype.
prepares for backlash

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 04/03/2018 22:29

A 2002 film called Gerry, which consists of Matt Damon and Casey Affleck wandering around a desert lost for 2 hours. Including a scene where they debate the wisdom of jumping off a big rock for about 40 minutes. It's awful.

Someone upthread mentioned The Place Beyond The Pines. I LOVE that film!

squoosh · 04/03/2018 22:32

Nah, lots of people aren't into Star Wars. I'm not a spacist but........I don't like any films set in space.

Wakeuptortoise · 04/03/2018 22:32

Pacific rim.

ElenOfTheWays · 04/03/2018 22:32

Sorry. That's Santa Claus conquers The Martians. Not that it matters. Confused

Makes Plan 9 look well executed.

yestheyhavethesamedad · 04/03/2018 22:33

Traffic with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, it won loads of Oscars but was awful, went to the cinema with a group of friends , we couldn't get seats together at the start, by the end we could have sat anywhere in the cinema as everyone else left. spent the entire film saying to each other will we leave and someone saying no its got to get better , it didn't that is 2.5 hrs we are never getting back .

Marmalady75 · 04/03/2018 22:33

The Greasy Strangler is, without a doubt, THE worst film ever.

Timetogetup0630 · 04/03/2018 22:34

I like nothing better than a really crap movie with Nicholas Cage in it to entertain me on a Saturday Night. Wicker Man, Face/Off, The Year of the Witch etc

Sarah0574 · 04/03/2018 22:34

Early Man - half the film was about a football match. So dull and no jokes. Not what I expected at all.

Linnet · 04/03/2018 22:35

I agree this is 40 was bad and I didn’t like the family stone either. The only bit of bridesmaids that was funny was when Melissa McCarthy steals the puppies and drives past with them all in the car. It was the on,y bit that I laughed at.

kinorsam · 04/03/2018 22:36

The English Patient
Nothing fucking happens
Grin I know, and I haven't even seen the film - I tried to read the book. Got half-way down page 2 and gave up.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 04/03/2018 22:37

I love Bridesmaids, some great one liners in it. Some bits made my toes curl though

letsdolunch321 · 04/03/2018 22:39

Hail, Ceasar with George Clooney ..... biggest load of crap I have seen

NorksAreMessy · 04/03/2018 22:39

There are SOOOOOO many wonderful stories to be told in the world and SOOOOOOOO many amazing books that could be turned into films, and yet

.....The Pursuit Of Happyness is made

AthenasOwl · 04/03/2018 22:40

I'm shocked no one has mentioned twilight yet tbh.

MrsMooks · 04/03/2018 22:40

Oblivion. Absolute shite

madmomma · 04/03/2018 22:41

Fucking shawshank thingime. Spare me. And Donnie darko

GabsAlot · 04/03/2018 22:41

sausage party isgreat but i love that sense of humour

i didnt mind bridemaids but thought it was overrated generally

NothingTraLaLa · 04/03/2018 22:42

Back in the days before smart phones and Google at your fingertips, I went to see a film on the basis of a decent Ceefax review. The film was End of Days and it was truly shit.
