It was dire. Utter crap. And I have a high threshold for crap, can watch most rubbish as long as its entertaining

Yes Squoosh he did. I seem to be one of the few people who liked ‘Black swan’ as well so I felt even further annoyed.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 04/03/2018 22:06

There's a Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart film where she is a florist and he's a motivational speaker. I was astounded how they could make a film last 90 minutes with absolutely nothing happening in that time.

Andylion · 04/03/2018 22:06

On the hand, I really liked Bridesmaids. It was one of the few times I’ve actually laughed so much I cried. .

squoosh · 04/03/2018 22:06

Bridesmaids always gets a drubbing on Mumsnet but I think it could have been okay if they'd cut out some of the really long meandering scenes. It just dragged on and on.

3luckystars · 04/03/2018 22:07

Minions is the worst film I have ever sat through. It was absolutely shit.

chocolateworshipper · 04/03/2018 22:08

Oh and The Wedding Singer - it's like eating a creme egg since they changed the recipe - far too sweet

flumpybear · 04/03/2018 22:08

50 shDes if boringness

2 hours of my life I'll never get back!

SmurfOrTerf · 04/03/2018 22:08

Iron Sky, its about Nazi's on the moon

I think I win the thread Grin

squoosh · 04/03/2018 22:08

Did anyone watch Spy with Melissa McCarthy? It's not in the least but high brow but it gave me such a good laugh. Reminiscent of 1980s National Lampoons style films.

altiara · 04/03/2018 22:08

Ahhh! But have any of you seen Alien autopsy with Ant & Dec ??!
And the Mothman Prophecies with Richard Gere? I still feel cheated as I thought something would happen but turned out there was a giant Moth like man and then it ended! I bloody hate moths as well. Give me Pierce Brosnan singing any day (well once every 10 years)

iklboo · 04/03/2018 22:08

My folks watched The Monster Family with DS(12) at the weekend. On the way home he said 'I thought nana & grandad loved me'. He has got a very dry sense of humour and, bless him, he sat all the way through it with them.

Sgtmajormummy · 04/03/2018 22:09

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Should have guessed from the title...

pointythings · 04/03/2018 22:09

The Fault In Our Stars. OMG what a pile of sentimental drivel. And I had to watch it twice in the space of 24 hours. Because DDs loved it so much.

They have gone off it now, thank goodness/

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 04/03/2018 22:09

I saw Downsizing last night.

Utter, utter drivel.

Hopefully this post will save 2 hours of other peoples’ lives.

@alpacawhacker YES!! It was awful!

Em308 · 04/03/2018 22:11

The Royal Tenenbaums, Don't mess with the Zohan and The life aquatic of Steve Zissou - didn't manage more than 30 minutes of any of these films.

Tink2007 · 04/03/2018 22:11

Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson. My god that was utter tripe.

alpacawhacker · 04/03/2018 22:11

altiara Yes, the one with Richard Gere.

I think 2010 was the most bored I have ever been at the cinema. The film, not the year.

Moussemoose · 04/03/2018 22:11

Didn't you read

Hotel. For. Dogs.

I win.

It was about a hotel for dogs.

DOGS!

iklboo · 04/03/2018 22:11

I've actually just watched the last half hour of 'Atlantic Rim'. Yes. Atlantic Rim. One of those SyFy made for TV movies that are like dire versions of big name films. You know, like Aldi do chocolate bars.

Fruitcocktail6 · 04/03/2018 22:11

I like bridesmaids! However the recent ghostbusters with Kristen wiig was utterly shite. Mama Mia too, never understood how anyone could like it.

MrsKoala · 04/03/2018 22:11

DH has the worst taste in films i can ever imagine anyone having. It's truly shocking. He has a cupboard of straight to dvd horror and sic fi films. He bought me Splice one year for my birthday - and that wasn't even the worst film he's made me watch Confused . He insisted we go to the cinema to see a resident evil film once. Christ that was dire.

GabsAlot · 04/03/2018 22:11

oh 50 shades of shite how could i forget-i dont get hes an abuser how is that sexy

wedding singer is one of my faves

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 04/03/2018 22:12

I’ll also add Signs with Mel Gibson and About Schmidt with Jack Nicholson.
