It has alisonhannigan in and we thought it might be light hearted
It was dire. Utter crap. And I have a high threshold for crap, can watch most rubbish as long as its entertaining

I thought Split was ok. Not great and wont watch it again. Unbreakable I watched in the cinema and thought it was bog standard stuff (interesting premise until Bruce Willis gets going). There was absolutely no connection between either film in any shape or form until that tacked on bit in Split. Being a M. Night Chandelier film I knew there'd be a twist of sorts but nada until then. I think he made the film. The head dudes watched it and went "Oi twisty boy. Wheres our trick ending? We gave you gazillions of bucks and all we get is James McAvoy kidnapping some girls and saying etc etc one minute then climbing the walls in a inhuman fashion the next? It cant end there. Give us our twist. Now."

Ohfuckinghellwhatnow · 05/03/2018 23:17

Mamma Mia. Watched 20 minutes of utter dirge, all previous admiration for Colin Firth was shot to shit. Just awful. Embarrassimg and awful. 20 mins of my life lost, forever.

GabsAlot · 05/03/2018 23:23

galista think youve misunderstood death becomes her

they both at some point marry the same man who actually deals with corpses and both take a potion for immortatlity coz they want to be better than each other

GabsAlot · 05/03/2018 23:24

sorry that was to @galicoscats

Fulham23Fc · 05/03/2018 23:27

The Horse Whisperer. Most of it was just Robert Redford crouched down in a field staring out a horse. Dull!!! 😴😴😴😴

gingergenius · 05/03/2018 23:35

Why has nobody mentioned Shark Boy and Lava Girl???

minniemummy0 · 05/03/2018 23:36

Hugo is a beautiful film. 😳

The Passion of the Christ. I thought I’d like it as I was (at the time) a devout Christian. For some reason it just gave me and my friend the giggles, I found it in turns ridiculous and boring, certainly didn’t inspire my faith!!

gingergenius · 05/03/2018 23:39

@minniemummy0 the Passion of The Christ where he gets whipped with hooks that rip his skin off??????? You found that funny???? Ok!!! Confused

minniemummy0 · 05/03/2018 23:45

gingergenius - I didn’t say I found it funny... I got the giggles. Like some people get the giggles at a funeral even when they are upset. I should have gone into more detail there! It just didn’t have the effect it was meant to/I expected!!

Saggingninja · 05/03/2018 23:47

Tali I think A Serbian Film was supposed to be an allegory of the War.

Mind you they always say 'allegory' when the film is shit.

Dowser · 05/03/2018 23:49

Hotel el paradaiso with rim mayall
Embarrassing crap.

gingergenius · 05/03/2018 23:50

Ah ok - just wasn't sure if I was remembering the same film - I watched it and had to lie down as it made me feel a bit faint!!!

alliwantforchristmasis · 06/03/2018 00:26

So no one has watched Ed Wood that is definitely the worst film ever. It’s a Jonny depp film where he is a cross dressing director of b movies oh my god I had to finish watching it because it was that bad.

ArtieMae · 06/03/2018 00:41

I saw the Shape of Water the other day and it was AWFUL. Over hyped, pretentious, ridiculous nonsense. Also shocked that in this age of #Metoo that there was gratuitous nudity from the onset. The film is meant to be edgy and artistic but was just plain daft. Michael Shannon’s performance was the only good thing in it. It made me cringe to see Octavia Spencer playing the same stereotypical character she does in every film. Dunkirk should have got the best film and best director Oscars.

MistressDeeCee · 06/03/2018 01:52

Megashark vs Giant Octopus was spectacularly ludicrous. I couldn't take Drag Me To Hell seriously as the old woman in it had the exact same facial makeup as the monster thing in Jeepers Creepers. It just made me laugh. Mama Mia is a borefest.

Godzilla, the version that came out early 2000s I think - when Godzilla was running through the streets - Godzilla DOES NOT RUN. Travesty of a film.

CosyLulu · 06/03/2018 04:10

The Greatest Showman. Absurd storyline, ridiculous CGI of the animals and totally absurd song and dance sequences.

strawberrisc · 06/03/2018 06:05

I’m going to come right out and say it. The Holiday. Shite acting all around and who SERIOUSLY fancies Jack Black? shudders

PasstheStarmix · 06/03/2018 06:51

Another one was Cast Away, a whole hour and half of Tom Hanks talking to a football...sod off Wilson

DarthNigel · 06/03/2018 07:11

I also can't bear anything Marvel (or whatever the other super hero franchise is), (Except I quite liked the first couple of X Men movies)The rest just make me ragey-men in various dumbass costumes saving the world from mutants/aliens/meglomaniacs/large cgi creatures. I just don't get the appeal. DP loves them. It's the only thing I dont like about him

Beanteam · 06/03/2018 07:12

Bladerunner 2049. Roboty indestructible, super strong beings trying to destroy and kill each other. Several pouty sexy women. Lots of grinding and grating metallic noise and grey grimy sets. But probably the goody roboty person wins in the end. Don't know for sure as went to bed.

Daisyduckisawhore · 06/03/2018 07:53

'Rubber'. Worst. Film. Ever. A murderous, tyre? Oh please! DH was most disappointed, he thought we were gonna watch some kind of fetish movie Grin

UnimaginativeUsername · 06/03/2018 08:37

Why has nobody mentioned Shark Boy and Lava Girl???

I was going to. It was my first thought on seeing the thread title but then I was so taken aback at how many people listed van helsing.

I saw shark boy and lava girl at the cinema with two friends and their children. We were all single mums at the time. They issued us with fender appropriate glasses. I did ask for the shark ones but was told no. The kids somehow managed to enjoy it but us adults were agog at the awfulness of it and the seriously problematic message that if you really want it enough your parents will get back together. Dire.

DGRossetti · 06/03/2018 08:46

Terminator 3 or was it 4 ?

And not sure if the username is any reference, to it, but "Kalifornia" was a teed-fest from way back when ...

midnightmisssuki · 06/03/2018 09:04

MonsteraDeliciosa · 06/03/2018 09:16

Napoleon Dynamite is all I have to say

What the? I live Napoleon dynamite!

DH and I had a rare night out together and chose a film called "Silence" to watch at the cinema. It was supposed to be Martin Scorsese's magnum opus but it was 2 hrs 40 mins of pure tedium.
