Date movie.
It has alisonhannigan in and we thought it might be light hearted
It was dire. Utter crap. And I have a high threshold for crap, can watch most rubbish as long as its entertaining

OP posts:
GabsAlot · 05/03/2018 21:14

oh arrival just so boring was looking forward to it aswell

SJN71 · 05/03/2018 21:14

Mama Mia - agree its utter sh*te
The Hitman’s Bodyguard - utter shte (as are most Samual L Jackson movies these days - all he does is shout “motherfcker” all the time)

And I have to agree the second Kingsman film. I loved the first one but the second one was horrendously disappointing.

The80sweregreat · 05/03/2018 21:19

Bridesmaids - just crappy rubbish.

Andylion · 05/03/2018 21:52

Saggingninja, here’s a different Bond in another really, really BAD movie.
Sir Sean In Zardoz.

Vanilla Sky. I endured it until about half an hour from the end then turned it off. No fucking clue what was going on and can't remember any of it except Tom Cruise's face fell off or something.

Star Wars - don't get the appeal.

Unbreakable (I think that's what it's called) it had Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson in it. And was some shite story about how Bruce Willis was like a super hero (nothing hurt him) and Samuel L Jackson was the anti Bruce (everything hurt him) can't remember what happened except Samuel L Jackson was the bad guy who tried to drown Bruce or something? Dunno. It was awful.

Lindah1 · 05/03/2018 21:56

I’ve read the whole thread and dh came upstairs to ask if I’m ok as I was laughing so much. Love you guys.

Shocked and offended that some of my favourites are on people’s ‘worst’ lists. (Yes I wrote it down). Signs, Donny Dario, Shawhank, four weddings and a funeral, district 9, Black panther, avatar, the revenant, the hobbit, limitless, American Beauty, brokeback mountain, Star Wars , Harry Potter, The Arrival, Meet Joe Black, Atonement, Saving Private Ryan

I also sort of liked unbreakable, Man who Went Up A Hill And Came Down A Mountain, BRIGHT on netflix, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Waterworld, chappie, pixels

The last 5 minutes of Lala land make it worth watching.

Sharknado, so bad it’s good.
Adam sander for silly laughs

Thanks for the multiple warnings re hotel for dogs.

Vanilla Sky and Lost in translation are my worst.

Rosamund1 · 05/03/2018 22:05

RecalibratedMilkshake
I must have blocked it out as this is my worst ever. I can’t understand how they could have bolloxed it up so much with all those famous people and so much money. They’re actually making a sequel. God.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 05/03/2018 22:13

Lost in Translation. It must have been for me because I got lost then bored and switched off.

Mean Girls 2. Tripe. Nowhere near as good as the original.

Confetti. A mockumentary about a wedding competition that should have been funny (great cast) but was just cringe.

GabsAlot · 05/03/2018 22:24

i just dont think mamma mia works as a film its better on stage

they already made the sequel out in july i think

Castieldeansam · 05/03/2018 22:31

@steaksauce - we never finished vanilla sky either.

Birdman - utter shite.

Mother's Day- really tenuously linked stories.

Life - soooo bad!

Prometheus- slept through it twice.

I usually have a high tolerance for crappy films too.

BakedBeans47 · 05/03/2018 22:32

Lord of the Rings
Jerry Maguire
The Emoji Movie

gingergenius · 05/03/2018 22:33

@RecalibratedMilkshake I'm with you! Love Mama Mia.

GallicosCats · 05/03/2018 22:35

The Object of Beauty. Watched that in the cinema with a couple of (straight) male friends and it was pretentious mumbled nonsense about a stolen painting.

sexnotgender · 05/03/2018 22:35

Napoleon Dynamite is all I have to say.

SharonBottsPoundOfGrapes · 05/03/2018 22:38

I loved the Harry Hill film. It was just so ridiculously daft and silly but sweet and funny. Ds named our first hamster Abu after watching it.

BakedBeans47 · 05/03/2018 22:39

Mrs Brown D Movie or whatever it was called

SharonBottsPoundOfGrapes · 05/03/2018 22:44

Steaksauce, have you seen Split with James McAvoy? I wont spoil it for anyone but anyone who has seen Split and Unbreakable will know why Im asking. Im still Confused about it.

GallicosCats · 05/03/2018 22:46

Oh yeah, Brokeback Mountain was dull as well. Also one called Death Becomes Her - about women married to cosmetic surgeons. I think one of them spends half the film with a giant hole in her midriff. It was billed as a great satire on Hollywood beauty standards but I spent the twenty minutes I watched it thinking WTF?

CantGetDecentNickname · 05/03/2018 22:53

Unbreakable was long and boring and then suddenly the plot got going with Willis discovering he was actually a hero - and that was the end. Really annoyed by it. Hobbit second film ended mid story as they had decided to eek out a fairly slim book into a third film. Felt cheated by it.

Worst film ever still had to be Independence Day which was vomit inducing and packed with cliches. Mars attacks which was a sendup of Independence Day was brilliant in comparison.

Steaksauce · 05/03/2018 22:55

@Castieldeansam glad I'm not the only one!

@SharonBottsPoundOfGrapes not seen that one but just read the plot on Wikipedia and am a bit Confused about the story and the "link" to unbreakable. And he wants to make another!

I don't get M Night Shylalalalalaman and his films at all. I've not seen a good film he's done yet.

PasstheStarmix · 05/03/2018 22:58

You haven’t watched the worst movie ever until you’ve part watched ‘Fun with Dick and Jane.’ 😴 only movie I’ve ever walked out of a cinema on hence my recollection.
