Date movie.
It has alisonhannigan in and we thought it might be light hearted
It was dire. Utter crap. And I have a high threshold for crap, can watch most rubbish as long as its entertaining

OP posts:
gillybeanz · 04/03/2018 23:15

La La Land is dire, third rate acting, dancing and singing.
Somebody pulled the wool over a lot of peoples eyes with that one.
The Emperors New Clothes of modern theatre Grin

TheDetectorist · 04/03/2018 23:16

Has anyone mentioned the one with Scarlet Johannson driving around picking up drunks in Scotland and then cut to her inexplicably walking towards them in pitch black, wet rooms until something happens to them (can’t remember what) & repeat endlessly until you lose the will to live. Anyone recognise this description?

Gingaaarghpussy · 04/03/2018 23:18

Mosquito coast. I can't remember how far we got, but it wasn't halfway before we walked out. The only thing I can remember is that Harrison Ford was in it I think
Chicago, on a girls night out, I couldn't walk out as I was driven there. I just smiled and agreed when the rest of the ladies gushed over it.

LizzieSiddal · 04/03/2018 23:18

American Hussl was absolutely shit.
Dh and I don’t walked out after 40 mins and went for a curry.

Tippz · 04/03/2018 23:18

I LOVED Drag me to hell! Grin

But yeah, Date night was shit.

Also I agree with 'mamma mia;' worst load of over-rated wanky bollocks I have ever seen. Shame too, coz it has some of my fave actors -Pierce brosnan, Meryl Streep, Amanda siegfried,

May I also offer the awful Spice girls movie (I still love THEM, but the film was pants.)

Also Paranormal activity; boring as fuck. An hour an a half of waiting for something to happen. Total waste of a fiver.

50 shades of grey - AWFUL film, but then the book was wank too!

Another vote for Cloverfield; dire, over-rated crap.

And the lord of the rings pile of dross. BORING!!!!!!!!!! And the total recall remake was SHIT.

And yes to Sausage party. Fucking awful!

All the twilights - except the first one which I thought was good. The other 4 were shit.

Sorry but Face/off and Hollow Man and Titanic were brilliant. Grin So was blair witch, and Phantom of the opera is in my top 20 films ever! (OK Blair witch was budget but I enjoyed it as it was creepy voodoo!) LaLa land was good, but yeah quite over-rated.

Avatar was good, and visually brilliant in the cinema, (in 3D) but a bit of a boring plot and waaaaaaaaaaay toolong. Should have been 45 minutes shorter.

Each to their own though? Smile

A lot of hate on here for Mamma fucking Mia eh? The stage show must be better for it to be such a massive success for so many years. The film was crazy bad though.

Lots of hate for 'the Lobster' too. Never heard of it!!!

And Les Mis was good but very over-rated. And too long! (Like Avatar!)

LizzieSiddal · 04/03/2018 23:18

*Hussle

0SometimesIWonder · 04/03/2018 23:19

You are all way off - the worst film ever is “The Swimmer”. If you ever come across it, avoid like the plague.

TheDetectorist · 04/03/2018 23:21

Remembered it... ‘Under the skin’ is the awful Scarlet Johansson film.

I have special depths of hatred for the Matrix trilogy & like MrsKoala have had the misfortune of seeing a resident evil film at the cinema too

AskingForAnEnemy · 04/03/2018 23:21

Most recently terrible for me was ‘Mother!’. I like weird (actually quite liked The Lobster) I love Antonio Banderas so I had high expectations. It was a strange mix of horrifying yet boring

I watched this last night, so fucking bizzare I had to Google it afterwards to find out what it was about, was also shocked to discover that it isn't even Antonio Banderas in it, it's Javier somebody! Total waste of time.

Also watched a really bad film a couple of weeks ago, no idea what it was called but it had Colin Farrel in and he was friendly with this kid and then weird shit started happening like his own kids suddenly couldn't walk and were bleeding from the eyes. It's was truly fucking shite. And I say that as somebody who sat and watched that Lobster film Grin

Rockerfeller · 04/03/2018 23:21

Moonstruck! God that film!!

savagebaggagemaster · 04/03/2018 23:21

Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer. There is just no need for this film to exist.

SolaceOfYou · 04/03/2018 23:22

I very, very rarely give up on films. The only two I can recall are Kindergarten Cop (comedy Schwartzenegger) and Drive. I tried to watch Drive twice on DVD but literally cannot remember a single thing about it, except that Ryan Gosling is on the front of the box.

Mrsmadevans · 04/03/2018 23:22

I liked men who stare at goats, Premonition and Truly, madly, deeply.

Ringsender2 · 04/03/2018 23:23

Dangerous Minds with Michelle Pfeiffer. She plays a teacher in a tough neighbourhood. I spent the entire film on the edge of my seat, ready to stand up and leave. I was young and tolerant then. i would up stocks after 10 mins now.

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 04/03/2018 23:23

Is the swimmer the one about the guy who swims in a load of other people's swimming pools? If so I didn't get the point of that one at all.

HaroldsSoCalledBluetits · 04/03/2018 23:25

And yy to Moonstruck! That won awards didn't it? Whyyyy?!! There was fuck all to it.

PlaymobilPirate · 04/03/2018 23:26

My friend made me see Mother a few weeks ago. Horrendous. They are a baby. I'm still traumatised

WednesdayAddams2525 · 04/03/2018 23:26

I thought The Human centipede was a kids film!!!! I got it mixed up with The Hungry Caterpillar.

If anyone has ever seen this film you will understand my complete idiocy!

Luckily I didn't show it to any kids....when I watched it, it soon became apparent that I was very much mistaken 😂

NotSureThisIsWhatIWant · 04/03/2018 23:27

I stopped Bridesmaids half way to put the DVD in the bin. My boyfriend gave it to me as a birthday present.

I was so offended he thought I could like such shite I was never able to see him on the same way.

PurpleGoose · 04/03/2018 23:27

Men Who Stare At Goats.

I couldn't tell you what it was about, as it was so boring that not only did I fall asleep, but the two friends that I went to see it with also fell asleep at different points. We all have very different tastes in films, yet none of us could sustain interest in this one.

WednesdayAddams2525 · 04/03/2018 23:27

@Raffles1981 just seen your reply...have to agree as per my last post!!

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 04/03/2018 23:28

That clover field lane film last night was 2 hours I'll never get back what a pointless fucking film.

PlaymobilPirate · 04/03/2018 23:29

Grrr... They ate a baby

LineysInTheSnow · 04/03/2018 23:29

I've just looked up the premise of the Human Centipede. I'd walk out of that.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 04/03/2018 23:30

La La Land

It is so tedious Hollywood giving itself a pat on the back for being so utterly fabulous

It wouldn’t have won anything this year

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them after two minutes I realised I had no interest in where they would be found it’s a total bore fest
