I enjoyed the Christmas turkey sandwich roll they did last year that had a pig in blanket on a skewer on the top. That wasn’t about this year Sad

BrennieGirl · 27/02/2018 00:04

Another vote for chocolate pretzels. I haven't been able to get them the last couple of times I've been there. I hope they haven't discontinued them.

I also like the smoked haddock fish cakes. Years ago they did a prawn fish cake which was delicious.

Roast beef and onion crisps.

LilaoftheGreenwood · 27/02/2018 00:05

Oh @Loonoon thanks, I had forgotten the yoghurt and mint dressing! (probably blocked it out as the loss was too painful)

LockedOutOfMN · 27/02/2018 00:08

For me:
Tuna pâté
Iced and spiced buns
Smoked haddock fillets with cracked pepper
Hot smoked salmon flakes
The hot chocolate fudge brownie
Picnic eggs
Granny Smiths - always crisper in M and S

For DH:
Lemon and white chocolate mini muffins
Oat, yoghurt, and berry mini bites (in the tub)
Percy Pigs (classic)

LockedOutOfMN · 27/02/2018 00:08

I live abroad and really, really miss M and S food.

Arealhumanbeing · 27/02/2018 00:17

Percy pig fizzy tails.

This thread has made me hungry and I didn’t even know about half of this stuff!

Can’t wait for them to open tomorrow Smile

ShovingLeopard · 27/02/2018 00:31

How come I've never seen the cookie dough bites in my branch??!

Favourites:

Lemon and lime curd West Country yoghurt
Chocolate twists
Sherry trifle
Salmon in soy, ginger and chilli
Chocolate dipped Viennese fingers
Deli section (summer only) mozzarella, artichoke and sun-dried tomato skewers (heaven!)
All their soups, but especially the chunky spicy lentil and bacon one
Their fruit loaf is the best

strong80 · 27/02/2018 00:42

@Piffpaffpoff i got those truffles for £3 today. think they might be a ‘mother’s day’ offer

ChishandFips33 · 27/02/2018 04:41

Yes! I'm now hankering after the Cookie Dough bites - tonight's treat for surviving the snow Grin

Sweetpea55 · 27/02/2018 04:49

BLT sandwich.. The only one I can eat because it doesn't have butter on the bread.
Pasta pesto salad.
Belgian chocolate covered peanuts.
They used to make a lovely moist angel cake slab.

BrutusMcDogface · 27/02/2018 05:32

Oh how could I forget the gluten free chicken and avocado sandwich?! It's amazing. The bean wrap is, too. It's so good to find gluten free stuff in the "food to go" aisle. Yum.

AltheaorDonna · 27/02/2018 05:56

God damn you all to hell for this thread! I REALLY miss M&S, I would sell a bloody kidney for a spree in the food hall. I think if M&S came to Perth you would hear all the Poms cheering all the way back in the UK! (We got H&M last year, which was very exciting!). My mum brought me Percy pigs last year, I nearly cried when they ran out. But it's the meal deals I really miss, and the gastro pub stuff, and the cheeses, and the tubs of choc mini rolls and the crisps I miss the most! How I wish they would deliver!

Drycleanonly7 · 27/02/2018 06:25

The walnut whips. Any variety.

GhostofYou · 27/02/2018 06:32

chocolate and caramel hot cross buns - life changing!!

twojumpingbeans · 27/02/2018 06:41

Marzipan bars, so delicious. A treat.

Flowersonthewall · 27/02/2018 06:42

Its not even 7am and I want to go to m&s and buy lots of food....this all sounds so yummy!

Quickerthanavicar · 27/02/2018 06:42

Veggie Colin the Caterpillars

bumbleymummy · 27/02/2018 07:04

Veggie Percy pigs, fizzy Colin caterpillars and chocolates covered salted cashews. Mmmmmmm

HannaPintura · 27/02/2018 07:07

Wow! Food is one of my little pleasures and I won't deny that to anyone! I adore M&S goats cheese and caramelized onion tarts...at £3.99 for a pack of 2 they are a luxurious 'every once in a while' treat!

CrabappleBiscuit · 27/02/2018 07:34

M&S lamb curry in a tin... It's really good...brilliant for a stand by

drumandthebass · 27/02/2018 07:37

Fruit iced buns - lush!

beepthemeep · 27/02/2018 07:40

These. But be warned. M&S laces them with crack or something similarly addictive:

GeekyWombat · 27/02/2018 07:44

Salted caramel (not walnut) whips.

I don’t get the salted caramel thing generally at all, but these are chocolate joy and actually not terrible on the calorie front either.

SallyOMalley · 27/02/2018 07:46

I'm still pining for m&s deltas. Little triangles of salty potato deliciousness. The snack of snacks. They must have gone over 20 years ago but I haven't found anything close to them since!

Piffpaffpoff · 27/02/2018 07:58

@strong80 “races off to nearest M&S food hall”.
