Ooh I love M & S food dept! I used to absolutely love their prawn mayo sarnies but they’re not as good now. I haven’t been for ages so can’t choose my fav thing now.

The coquilles St. Jacques.

LostInShoebiz · 26/02/2018 20:52

Yes! to whoever said Mexican Coleslaw. It's the best by a country mile.

ReasonableLlama · 26/02/2018 20:52

I've never seen the appeal of M&S food, it's no different to other supermarkets. I must be missing something.

Although saying that, years ago I went through a phase of loving their chocolate fudge bars.

pinkDEpanter · 26/02/2018 20:52

I work in one of the M&S simply food BP garages. The toffee meringues yell at me throughout my shift! It's all delicious. Even food I don't think I'll like turns out to be amazing Smile

AliasGrape · 26/02/2018 20:52

Before I went veggie I loved their potted beef! On crispy baguette or white toast with lots of butter.

These days it’s the veggie Percy Pigs. I like their chocolate covered popcorn too. And their feta and herb parcels from the deli section.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 26/02/2018 20:52

Chocolate and cream roll. Also I’ve discovered white chocolate jazzie eggs! Delicious!

Ah, M&S Food on the cheap, my specialist subject.

Bread from the bakery - there's a small loaf with cheese in - Red Leicester I think. It costs about £2 for a small loaf, but it's so nice.

Or a whole meal deal thing, just for me. I don't eat it all in one go, it usually does 3 meals, but I like choosing exactly everything I want instead of having to consider which ones DP might like.

OP, if you shop carefully and double up on the offers, it can be quite good value. I often combine discounts on my Sparks card or Credit card with one of those £5 off when you spend £30 that you get on a receipt sometimes - stock up on meat and get a meal deal and some other bits and you will end up paying about half the 'full' price before all the discounts come off.

Or go in the early evening and see what is available reduced. When DP works away, almost all my dinners are whatever I can find reduced in M&S (he either doesn't like what they sell or complains that the portions are too small).
