AIBU?

Not to wear knickers in bed?

Not a thread about a thread, as such, but I was very struck by someone on another thread talking about her old bed kickers (as in knickers she wears in bed, not as in knickers worn by her bed). I would have thought it was thoroughly unreasonable to wear knickers of any description in bed (unless they are the type that leads to Things), but AIBU?

I used to just wear pants to bed, now I do not wear anything and don’t tend to suffer from thrush so much.

I wear something. I have young children who still jump in our bed at night, so I wouldn't be comfortable without anything on.

Do what you want with your own bits. There are women out there who truest believe that their way is the only way and you must wear them or not (same goes for washing yourself too, and will insist you WILL get thrush if any soap goes within a mile of your vulva!). Do what you want.

I'm heavily pregnant. There's a lot happening down there. Knickers and a panty liner at all times for me unfortunately!

"Farted particles". PMSL @SheldonandPenny. Had not thought of the fireman problem. Am going to try not to think of it now, either.

Had never thought about wearing a bra in bed, but as I don't wear one in the daytime, being too small of nork, it has never crossed my mind.

I don't wear anything in bed, but I didn't learn about the 'airing things out down there' thing until well into adulthood.

As for firemen and burglars, I think if my house were burning down/someone were breaking in, whether or not I had knickers on wouldn't be my biggest worry.

Back when I had periods (pre my Marina coil) I wore knickers when I was on my period as I needed a tampon and a night time pad and I’d still have to get up to change.
I know exactly the comment you mean, I read it too and just presumed the poster meant her bedtime period pants.

I don't have special Bed Knickers though. I wonder what sets those apart from normal knickers?

Totoro where do you live? You need an electric blanket, it'll change your life!

I've slept naked since I was, dunno, old enough to realise that my recurrent thrush might be connected to me waking up in sweat-soaked knickers every morning. So about 14?

I keep a t-shirt and a pair of knickers next to the bed in case my son wants to come in.

farted particles - farticles? Grin

No never wear them in bed, or pj bottoms for that matter, everything gets all twisted and uncomfortable as I'm a fidgety non sleeper

farted particles

Surely these are farticles!

special Bed Knickers though
the ones you were after your shower, and put it the laundry bin in the morning: the ones that you wouldn't notice during the day but would be uncomfortable at night.
I wear the same pants to exercise and to sleep.

Haha @bassackwards I was going to say the exact same thing, Mum told me to let 'down there' get some fresh air at bedtime.....so no nickers to bed for me, unless it's that time of the month, to be honest since been pregnant I take the opportunity to do commando whenever I can Grin

"Farticles" Grin

Standing out on the street watching my house burn down whilst naked from the waist down is like some horrific nightmare come true for me. Pants all the way here.

I wear cotton knickers under a knee length nightie that tends to ride up during the night and I don't want bedding fluff stuck to my foof.
I also have the habit of waking up flat on my back with legs akimbo and don't want any...ahem...misunderstandings/disappointments where DH is concerned.

Nightie type things are easily the best form of sleepwear, for both genders.

what if a spider crawls up your vagina in the night and lays it’s eggs in the warm damp crevice?

Knickers all the way... and gaff tape to make sure there are no inroads.

Just soft bra and knickers in bed for me. Well blessed in the boob area and feel odd not having knickers on.

No pjs as i wriggle a lot in bed and end up getting twisted up in them.

I am in the UK, so am not too bothered about that one.

Strange posts Chow and Bluntness. OP hardly came on here demanding answers and shaking her fists.

It's obviously a tongue in cheek type thread. Bit Confused that some people can't see that.

I don't wear anything in bed. It feels wrong to wear PJs and underwear.

Astrabees · 20/02/2018 11:39

I've not worn anything in bed since I was about 13. I would find it really uncomfortable and hot. I wear pyjamas a lot for lounging about in the evening or breakfast, but never in bed.
