I've been a student, full time single 'professional ', married and childless working full time , full time working mum, SAHM, part time working mum, long time sick off work .....all times have had their challenges and bonuses....lets just try and support one another through each of lives myriad ways!
and thank god the Internet wasn't around when I had my toddlers, otherwise I'd have felt so inadequate

Currently a SAHM who could technically claim disability but wants to try and some days be a WAHM and has taken on a bit of work recently to try it out...

When out having a slow walk in the drizzle this afternoon trying desperately to keep myself awake and get DS to sleep whilst the cleaner gasp who helps me 2 hours a week was in the house I bumped into my SIL who out loud straight up commented "you have a cleaner?? Wowww you're lazy". No idea how to reply...

Instead I'll just report here for multiple kickings!!

How about me? I'm a SAHM but only because I got made redundant and don't have a job yet, I'm searching and have a couple of interviews coming up.

with the exception of a few hours of working from home and a course I’m doing, I’m a sahm. Of school age kids. Sometimes, after the school run, I come home and binge watch Netflix with a packet of digestives

Has anyone called us prostitutes yet? It's not a proper kicking till someone suggests i only married my husband for a meal ticket and have sex with him as a transaction to ensure i don't have to contribute to society.

15 year old girls at school used to say SAHMs were prostitutes lol! I thought people would have grown out of that.

I've been likened to a prostitute a fair bit in the last few days, i didn't realise being a SAHM made me one too!! Clearly doing it wrong, i haven't made much dough in my selling myself ventures!

My hand is half up but I work two hours a day these days so I'm not sure if I still count? I'm a full time mum minus ten hours effectively.

I have a solution! We each pair up with another SAHM and swap children. We pay each other £1 to look after those children. Thus we are suddenly employed and worthy human beings whilst still doing the same old shit, just for different children.

Maybe If we send the children on “play dates” back to their own homes we can do the same old shit for the same children.
