Sit there - - >
And let me give you a good kicking.
It seems to be the day for it :)

The baby has already bashed my face when I put her down for her nap so can we just pretend I've had my kicking already? I'll sit quietly at the back sipping my cold, tear-diluted tea.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 19/02/2018 15:47

No sharpening of pencils.

We enjoy the infinitely changing beauty of clouds and dance in the rain.

beepthemeep · 19/02/2018 15:47

My DP is a SAHD. Clearly he spends all his time chilling out watching cricket and eating cake and is in no way driven frantic by a lively 2 year old demanding every scrap of attention all day whilst he also tries to keep the house clean and do the shopping and washing.

Can we kick him too??

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 19/02/2018 15:48

And try to grasp the principals of trigonometry through the medium of interpretive dance.

StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2018 15:48

Then you're just a hippy :)

What's the obsession with SAHM's baking?? Is this a new phenomenon? Feel like I need to read the manual...anyone have a copy???

AHedgehogCanNeverBeBuggered · 19/02/2018 15:48

furry-features GrinGrinGrin

What about people on mat leave?

Should we be kicked today AND Thursday or not at all?

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/02/2018 15:49

Reporting for my kicking.

I'd like to say it will be my only adult interaction all day but I'd be lying - I'm watching a film with my adult DDs. I'd swap Peppa Pig or Andy's Dinosaur doodah for their Twilight nostalgia fest

I'm not even doing the school run this afternoon as DD1 is picking her little brother up from after school club.

StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2018 15:49

I need to do a risk assessment before I kick a pregnant woman anyway. Back of the queue, you and the othwr one on this thread

beep SAHD's aren't held to the same virtue apparently...my SAHD friends are smug about this

DeadButDelicious · 19/02/2018 15:50

The closest I get to baking is watching Bake off. And even that is just an excuse to shamelessly peeve over Noel Fielding. Rubs knees.

DeadButDelicious · 19/02/2018 15:50

Perv even. Grin

TheShapeofYou · 19/02/2018 15:51

Lines up at the back of the queue and winces in anticipation of kicking.

StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2018 15:51

I did wonder :)

I asked on the other thread

But how many hours a year do i have to work to NOT be a SAHM

(I am employed out of the home at the moment...but i am open to a change)

Someone did mention similar upthread...

Katedotness1963 · 19/02/2018 15:52

I'm a SAHM and my kids are teenagers so I'm truly deserving of a kicking.

Years ago I was between jobs (pre kids) and a man I knew gave me a verbal kicking for being a married woman without a job. As he saw it a married woman who was not working and contributing was basically getting paid to have sex with her husband, so in his eyes I was a whore. There was much more to his "theory" but I've since blocked it out, but that was it in a nutshell.

There are some lovely people out there...

MimpiDreams · 19/02/2018 15:53

I'm a pretend SAHM, can I have a kicking?

I've been a SAHM for 15 years. Which is quite an achievement considering DS is only 4.

mustbemad17 · 19/02/2018 15:55

graciously allows theshapeofyou* in front of her in the queue...me & bump are trying to remain at the back back of the line!

mrsreynolds · 19/02/2018 15:55

I would have joined in stealth but I've had a very busy afternoon wanking and shovelling wotsits in my gob

[Awaits daily heil headline; THIS is what sahms do all day!]

[Hmmm..they might struggle to get a DM sadface wanking photo though.....]

thepatchworkcat · 19/02/2018 15:56

Yeah what about working part time mums? I feel like I’ve got a foot in both camps or alternatively neither camp. I’m not sure who my people are!

StealthPolarBear · 19/02/2018 15:57

I don't know who your people are but they're getting a kicking

OP posts:
doctorboo · 19/02/2018 15:58

sits in the car waiting for dance club to finish rather than go home and look after the younger siblings for a hour

I'm enjoying a quiet hour before I return to my sahm duties. Kick me all you like, this break from the smaller two is worth it.

Also I'm a) sahm b) looking for work which means all three children will have to go to breakfast and after school club Shock
