I have complex health. Been feeling just not right recently, really tired and generally unwell so gp requested bloods to be done yesterday.
I've had a phone call saying I need to come in and see a dr today. I said I can't until tomorrow but they insisted today so I'm going at 5.10pm.

I have bloods regularly and they've never rang me to come in the next day even when they've been abnormal so why would they now?
They wouldn't tell me over the phone

It could be just stress - I'm guessing your v stressed at the moment

dejarderoncar · 27/02/2018 21:52

I suffer from auto immune issues (although did not realise at the time). After I had a sucessful liver transplant, I was told that the intense itching I had suffered shortly beforehand had been a symptom of a liver problem. There could be many other explanations, of course. You are in the system getting good medical attention, and will be fine whatever your problem turns out to be. Try not to worry. I am going strong four years later.

Just read a few posts that I had missed. It sounds as if you have had a lot of serious battles with your health and have been very brave. You have proved already that you have the inner resources to deal with anything. What an amazing woman you are.

💐💐

EmbarrassingTroubles · 28/02/2018 16:25

@deja that is so kind of you & made me tear up!
No changes to medication. Could be stress but I'm not worrying at the mo, well trying not too :)
Come out in spots so maybe that's the itching.

Hope you're ok embarrassing.

Isadora2007 · 02/03/2018 10:46

I hope you get some answers soon and that they’re positive ones with some treatment options for you to help you feel better Flowers

GirlsBlouse17 · 02/03/2018 13:51

Hi Embarrassing have been thinking about you. Hope you're okay and hear from the hospital soon xx

mikeyssister · 02/03/2018 16:47

Ring the hospital on Monday and talk to them abut the itching and spots. It'll put your mind at ease.

EmbarrassingTroubles · 03/03/2018 20:47

Thank you all, amazed at the support from you. Been stuck in work snowed in & feeling unwell which wasn't ideal in a job that's mentally draining (residential autism unit) with limited Internet thanks to power cuts but I'm home & reunited with DC :)
Hope you're all enjoying it.

Hi @EmbarrassingTroubles, hope you're feeling better today.

GirlsBlouse17 · 05/03/2018 15:54

Hi Embarrassing sorry you had an awful time stuck at work during the big freeze. Not easy being ill and having to look after individuals with autism. I hope you get some news soon about your biopsy results. Must be a worry for you xx

mumof06darlings · 07/03/2018 02:54

Hi embarrasing. I hope the itching has resolved for you. Itching is such a nuisance 😯😭

mikeyssister · 08/03/2018 17:07

@EmbarrassingTroubles hope you're ok. No need to come back but just wanted you to know people are still thinking about you.

Allthecoolkids · 08/03/2018 17:15

Also hoping you’re ok x

GirlsBlouse17 · 12/03/2018 10:05

Hi Embarrassing hope everything is okay with you. Have you heard anything yet? x

EmbarrassingTroubles · 13/03/2018 09:17

Hi all, so sorry for the delayed reply. Had a few issues with DC. Both have SN. Never rains it pours!
Initial bone marrow is inconclusive but they said takes longer for some results? I'm taking it as a positive thing though as if it was anything sinister I'm sure I'd know by now.
Bloods are being done weekly and still are deteriorating; GP keeps saying she will send me as an in patient or to go to a&e due to pain but I'm keen to avoid that! I'm just drained all the time.
Have yet more scans booked and been reffered to various depts.
One thing about it all is none of them seem to be giving me any idea of what is wrong. I'm keeping away from Google!
Got a print out of my bloods but I haven't looked into them yet.

Hi Embarrassing am sorry, you have do much to deal with. It is tough going. I do hope that no news will mean good news. What are your blood counts (haemoglobin, white cells, platelets, neutrophils)? The fact you feel drained all the time could be your haemoglobin is low. You should go to hospital if your GP has said you should. I know it's so hard for you. You are in my thoughts alot x

EmbarrassingTroubles · 13/03/2018 21:22

@girlsblouse you've been such a support. It's so overwhelming that the most support I get is from strangers on the Internet but it is appreciated very much.
I'll put here the abnormal ones and the figure. I know about liver ones but not sure on the others. Been on long term ferrous fumarate and have regular b12 injections as well as folic acid but it seems they aren't working.
Ferritin - 30
ESR - 54
Heamoglobin - 104
Platelets - 450
Heamocrit - 0.35
MCV - 66
MCH - 19.4
RBC distribution width - 19.1
Alkaline phosphate - 274
ALT - 39
CRP - 131

X

Hi Embarrassing I've been worried about you and wish to hang around til i know youre going to be alright! Am glad to be of some support! I don't recognise most of the figures you've given but your haemoglobin is low and your platelets are at the top of the acceptable range. My platelets went down to 5 and I needed weekly platelet transfusions. My haemoglobin went down to 68 and I needed 3 weekly blood transfusions. Do you know what your white cells count and neutrophils counts are? I think B12 deficiency can cause blood counts to drop. I hope the hospital can give you an answer soon as must be a worry for you. Must be difficult to cope with 2 SN kids anyway but with low haemoglobin count must be really tough x

mumof06darlings · 25/03/2018 19:31

GirlsBlouse17 · 01/04/2018 17:25

Hi Embarrassing Been wondering how you are. Am here if you need support but don't worry if you don't want to. Just hope you're okay x

GirlsBlouse17 · 11/04/2018 20:58

Hi Embarrassing have been worried your absence on this thread has meant bad news. I hope I am wrong and that you are okay. I will make this my last post on here unless I get to hear from you. Take care x
