OP you are a legend and so’s your DH. I’m currently kicking myself for failing to spot the potential in any nerds whilst at school although to be fair they where all too busy not spotting/ignoring me full stop. I wonder if it’s too late for one to find me now?

I have always fancied one of those Viking funerals where my body is on a boat and flaming arrows are shot from the shore and then I can spend the afterlife in the sea/on the beach. But I think it may not be legall

Ross Noble was on QI, I think, his dad had wanted a viking funeral so they had him cremated (after he'd died obviously) then went to the local park/near by water and put them on a remote control boat.

Obviously Ross Noble is actually funny talking about it.

Tbh he is a bit a lot weird and very very hermit like. I was weirded out scared of him before he 'died' and even more so after! He was odd creepy anyway so no sorry I didn't ask.

Tbc after what you've just described I'm not sure if he's booked a fwake for Friday or an orgy...

The nerd/ geek thing. As I am quite the nerd and somewhat of a nerdsexual - a term used by a former partner to describe me (all of my partners have been nerds).
I have to say, there's a danger there. They have all been wonderfully funny and engaging. But, there's still some bad'uns in the mix. Enjoy nerds at your own risk.

High school geeks rule! Still happy with mine 25 years later. Though jealous of his bravery to order a sofa as a surprise! Can we see a picture of it when it turns up tomorrow, just in time for the fwake?

I got a Steam a count years ago too. I use it play old games which no longer run on whatever system software is ongoing. I shall be 60 in a couple of months, but I am the Family Nerd. DH and dd both eschew technology, but I make up for it.

Does DH know that his 'hero' status amongst us mnetters is at risk of crumbling if his interior design skills don't come up to scratch in the sofa department!
