I can’t believe I’m asking this, but I’m really nosey and just wanted to put it out there.

AIBU to ask you about how you met your partner, DH or DW? Insanely curious (although I know it’s none of my business).

I would eat same place for lunch everyday. He would sit and spy on me for 6 week before he got waiter to introduce us (we both knew waiter). I miss him

Match.com. In the olden days before OLD got weird. Told my mum the day after first date that I'd marry him, never really believed that stuff before. Married 8yrs, 2 DCs. Often thank the stars I'm not OLD today, it's looks harsh.

At uni. We were doing the same subject but in different years. He stuck up for me when someone was mean to me in a rehearsal and I remember being very grateful. He had a car and was a couple of years older and seemed impossibly glamorous. He used to drive to the offie and buy me Smirnoff ices and wheat crunchies. Grin Grin 16 years later, married with a lovely DS. Still very happy Smile

We were teenagers. He was best friends with my dsis's then boyfriend. Started going out 7 years later. 30 years on still together.

WhataLovelyPear · 13/02/2018 23:49

At work. I thought he was boring at first but the more I got to know him the more I liked him. Been married two and a half years now. We still work together too and I've only just got to the point where sitting on the sofa at home together feels as natural as sitting opposite each other at work.

NellyTimes · 13/02/2018 23:52

On twitter. We share a mutual interest and were chatting on there for a couple of years before we actually bumped into each other in real life. It was a great way to meet, because we already felt like we knew each other really well and it just felt so natural.

In a bar in Cambridge, MA watching Scotland lose to England at rugby at 9am. I walked up to him and said "So, what's the score?" 17 years and 3 kids later, he still can't answer that question.

buzzbottom · 14/02/2018 06:37

High school!

It will be 10 years together this year.
3 years married and third child on the way!

I'm nearly 25 and he is 27.

Readermumof3 · 14/02/2018 06:41

He moved next door....no, a few doors along 😀 We were 15 then and now celebrating our silver wedding this year.

Loonyluna16 · 14/02/2018 06:48

My cousins kitchen. Was a sly set up.. hated each other the first time we met, looking back I think it was possible we were doing the mean thing because we liked each other. Been inseparable since we sobered up the next day and had an actual conversation. 2 years later we are moving into our 2nd house together and expecting DC1 in September. Best thing to happen to me in a long time ❤

Babipotjam · 14/02/2018 06:54

Collage age 16. I fancied the pants off him!

LizzieSiddal · 14/02/2018 07:00

We met on holiday, abroad. We didn’t get together there, we just used to meet and have a drink in the only bar in the village.

Anyway we met when we got back and were married 7 months later Grin

Been together 28 years, have 2DDs and love him to bits.

whiteroseredrose · 14/02/2018 07:32

A cocktail bar. I was celebrating getting promoted and moving to London. He was a friend of a friend. That was just before Christmas 1995.

Lennythelion14 · 14/02/2018 07:36

At a bus stop. He had finished work and i was going to my mums.i never went home, moved in with him next day. we've been together 11 years. Very boring.

Elllicam · 14/02/2018 07:39

We were a blind date, I’d just broken up with my ex and my friend asked if I’d like to meet a man from her work because we both liked cake. 6 years later we have three kids :)
