I’m 18...Saturday night I would now be listening to Blue and DJ Sammy getting ready to go out to the local.
I’m wearing a two-tone halterneck top, leather look trousers (size 8.. sigh) with a tassle belt. Patent wedges and my hair straightened with my Babyliss steam straighteners! Gold eyeshadow like the one Kylie wears in the “On a Night Like This” video...

Necking a bottle of 20/20 and cheap red wine.

I’ll go out with about £8 in my pocket, dance to Fragma and S Club 7, drink loads of crap (free!) thanks to my school friend who works behind the bar then cadge a couple of Regals to smoke on my way homeGrin

Oh thank fuck it's not just me then. Grin

Billy Bass was the 2000's version of the dancing sunflower from the 90s really.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 10/02/2018 23:45

Everyone had MSN messenger but do you remember the other one??

Began with "i" and had a little customisable chat window.

I also had this phone at the time and thought I was the height of sophistication Grin

peppykoala · 10/02/2018 23:49

@peaches Liverpool! Though if it had been 2005 it would have been Manchester...

Morphene · 10/02/2018 23:50

Half way through my PhD, still getting drunk occasionally, though more in the day time than out at night....

AuntieMay · 10/02/2018 23:51

I was 30, with a new born and and a 4 1/2 yr old, just arrived back in Saudi after coming home to have dd2. Was going to deliver in ksa but after 9/11 things were a tad unsettled so went home and returned to Riyadh when she was 5 weeks old.

ChangoMutney · 10/02/2018 23:55

I'm 35, my 2 year old would be asleep and I'd be bf my 3 week old baby. In two weeks time it'll be my 2nd wedding anniversary which we'd spend having a lovely meal out and the inevitable shag. A month later I find I'm pregnant again.

cheshiremama89 · 10/02/2018 23:59

Year 9 in high school

Probably at home with my parents watching dancing on ice and having a Chinese - texting a boy feeling super grown up, not realising he was a total loser!

Probably wearing some playboy merch from TOPSHOP or my Juicy Couture tracksuit.

(Vomits in mouth) Confused

blackteasplease · 11/02/2018 00:01

Just moving in with my stbxh for the first time Shock In Dalston which was not trendy or cool at this time.

Working a shitty job that I hated and pretty much got sacked from.

Heartofglass12345 · 11/02/2018 00:06

I was 17, probably in the only pub that would serve me and my friend underage. Absolutely wasted singing and dancing without a care in the world! She died when we were 21, i still miss her 😢

Thishatisnotmine · 11/02/2018 00:07

sadiebird Sui Dreams! I still have a little bit of that left! I was bought it in 2003 by my boyfriend. When dd2 is back in her cot I am going to go sniff it.

This day in 2002 I was 16. Very unlikely to be out as nights out were more of a friday thing. I would have spent the day in town with my boyfriend (can't remember exactly which one, there was a bit of a crossover around this point!) and a group of friends and their friends etc. We would have sat around, watched skateboarders, perhaps had enough change for a 59p McDonalds hamburger, perhaps had a can or beer and more than likely a few spliffs. I would have looked around the Oasis market at wide jeans and small tops to buy. Would go home on the train in the evening to sit in my room and listen to music.

Allthewaves · 11/02/2018 00:08

final year of uni. Has dropped down to size 8/10, thought i was gorgeous. Loved Galaxy. Out in the town: leather mini, chain mail hankerchief top held on by tape

anotherday1 · 11/02/2018 00:11

I would have been 7, my mum was pregnant with my first little sister so I would have been rather exited Smile

Sparklesocks · 11/02/2018 00:14

Drinking WKDs with mates (one girl’s mum would buy them for us no questions asked) and going to house parties to play spin the bottle and snog boys. Would be drenched in impulse body spray and re-applying lipgloss every 3 minutes, wearing thongs and slogan tees and baggy jeans. Would’ve been listening to Nelly, Usher, jlo and will young (!) and dreading maths first thing on Monday morning..

Babyroobs · 11/02/2018 00:14

I would have been temporarily living back with my parents after moving home from New Zealand with my dh and 2 toddlers.

dowhatyoufeelnow · 11/02/2018 00:16

Young teenage years and very very silly.

GottadoitGottadoit · 11/02/2018 00:18

I would have been 31.

Going out for a meal with my mates then getting pissed in a club.

Trying to pull and getting nowhere,

Them were the days Grin

RainbowGlitterFairy · 11/02/2018 00:23

I was 14, Db4 had just died and I was in foster care, whilst my siblings were with different families. So I am going to go with drinking by myself in the dark. 6 weeks later SS got me back into a school and some amazing teachers helped me get my life back on track.

dowhatyoufeelnow · 11/02/2018 01:00

Holy moly @RainbowGlitterFairy I'm extremely sorry to read that, that was hard. I genuinely hope your ok.
X

dowhatyoufeelnow · 11/02/2018 01:02

Well done to your a amazing teachers.

HerRoyalFattyness · 11/02/2018 01:04

I'd have been asleep, 10 years old and eagerly awaiting the arrival of my baby sibling who was due in April.

BakedBeans47 · 11/02/2018 01:10

My now DH was spending his last few days with his mum :( can’t believe it’s been so long xx

BakedBeans47 · 11/02/2018 01:11

Oh I was 28 and he was 27. We became engaged a few weeks later x

GreatFuckability · 11/02/2018 01:24

I was 21, working in the job centre which was shite, but i had a brilliant bunch of friends and we basically got shitfaced every night. it was a great time! last big hoorah before i met my husband, and had a baby the following year!

nokidshere · 11/02/2018 01:29

I was 41 with a two year old and a 6 month old. I was probably zonked on the sofa knackered

RainbowGlitterFairy · 11/02/2018 01:54
