I’m 18...Saturday night I would now be listening to Blue and DJ Sammy getting ready to go out to the local.
I’m wearing a two-tone halterneck top, leather look trousers (size 8.. sigh) with a tassle belt. Patent wedges and my hair straightened with my Babyliss steam straighteners! Gold eyeshadow like the one Kylie wears in the “On a Night Like This” video...

Necking a bottle of 20/20 and cheap red wine.

I’ll go out with about £8 in my pocket, dance to Fragma and S Club 7, drink loads of crap (free!) thanks to my school friend who works behind the bar then cadge a couple of Regals to smoke on my way homeGrin

30, heavily pregnant, and either at home unable to move due to SPD, or possibly in hospital being given morphine and injections straight into the pubis to help deal with the pain. It was this week I was hospitalised - stayed in for a month then DD was induced 2 weeks early.

MonaTheMoaner · 10/02/2018 23:17

16 and hanging out with friends until all hours of the night either driving around listening to music and getting drive thru fast food with older friends who had a car, sneaking into bars to dance to rock music or at home with my dogs illegally streaming films on my swanky new flat screen computer monitor and downloading virus filled songs from LimeWire and Kazaa.

Met my now DH in 2002. So many memories. Living in a new city, going out to clubs for the first time. That's a memory! New Years Eve 2002, myself and himself in Spirit, middle abbey street, he had just decided to take w Toilet break when the dj cranked up big summer hit Just Won't Do (Tim Deluxe) DP swiveled back to the dancefloor which, already crowded, exploded at this track. Another lady there was wearing the exact same outfit as me (bought from Hero, actually adjacent to middle abbey street).

Thank you for the stroll down memory lane OP Wine

BestIsWest · 10/02/2018 23:23

Was 38 and doing the party bags for DS 4th birthday party. For the record he had a Thunderbirds cake and still remembers that eating Thunderbird 1 turned his poo green. He’s 20 on Monday.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 10/02/2018 23:23

Battered

please tell me you tried one of those weird wiry spidery things called an 'orgasmatron' when pilling?

Hah! Grin

Yeeessss.... oh my fucking god!

It was fucking amazing.

God I wish I could go full on raving just one more time.

WannaBeWonderWoman · 10/02/2018 23:24

I would have been ironing a massive pile of babygros Hmm ready for my twins and shitting myself about my c-section the next morning. If I'd known how knackered I was going to be for the next 16 years I'd have been laying in bed Grin.

OvertiredandConfused · 10/02/2018 23:25

I was 32 and had just landed in Lanzarote with my husband of 3 years, his mother and our 6 month old daughter who had reflux and never slept. The longest she slept on that holiday was 45 minutes. I have a photo of my DH falling asleep standing up. It was a grim year but we laugh now looking back.

Storminateapot · 10/02/2018 23:26

Age 34, pregnant with twins and juggling a 2 year old, job and trying to sell our house, buy a new one and relocate 200 miles away as DH had been made redundant, got a new job and was working away in the new location during the week. It was a really shit time, unfortunately but did come good in the end.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 10/02/2018 23:26

And suddenly I have a memory of a local shop selling those spidery Orgasmatron things along side a "Billy Bass" and a creepy version of the dancing baby from Ally McBeal.

Oh god the dancing baby was weird.

Welshwabbit · 10/02/2018 23:28

22, doing my pupillage at my dream set of barristers' chambers and (because they were nice and ethical) still having weekends and evenings to call my own. Living with my boyfriend (now husband) and 2 flatmates in Kentish Town. Probably off to popstarz at the Scala to dance to wall to wall cheese and maybe a bit of indie. And no thought of ever having to get up at 7 on a Sunday morning...

liz70 · 10/02/2018 23:30

32, at home, trying to stop three year old DD1 from bashing two year DD2, probably.

SeraphinaDombegh · 10/02/2018 23:31

Aaaah I was 19 and in my first year at uni. So I'd probably be out at some cheesy club or the union, drinking Smirnoff Ice and dancing to Chesney Hawkes, 99 Red Balloons, S Club 7 etc. Good times Grin

GallicosCats · 10/02/2018 23:31

I'm 34 and breastfeeding my 2-month-old DD, willing her to go to sleep because I'm just about to drop off myself, and looking forward to being woken up at 2 am for the next feed. Happy days.

LanaKanesTerfyVagina · 10/02/2018 23:32

Other people remember Billy Bass right??

It's not a weird hallucination??

You know, the weird animatronic fish on a plaque that sang at you? Confused

EleanorXx · 10/02/2018 23:32

I would have been 6!

WheresTheHooferDoofer · 10/02/2018 23:33

Yes, I remember Billy Bass. I rather wish I didn't.......

Welshwabbit · 10/02/2018 23:34

Lana yes! In fact I was watching a Peppa Pig episode this morning with a singing fish plaque! It took me right back.

Notthesoap · 10/02/2018 23:34

I was 16. Probably larking about with mates listening to slipknot and Marilyn Manson and drawing arty goth type things.

FairNotFair · 10/02/2018 23:34

30; 6mo DS; sleep-deprived and with severe undiagnosed PND. About to go back to high-pressure job full-time. Life back then seemed pretty joyless and unrelenting.

Witchend · 10/02/2018 23:35

Dd1 would have been just over a year old. Nice uncomplicated times Grin

iklboo · 10/02/2018 23:36
  1. Can't believe my boyfriend is 24. Getting very drunk, probably going to have great sex later. Two months later he moves in.

Engaged 2003
Married 2004
DS is born 2005

DioneTheDiabolist · 10/02/2018 23:37

I'm 29, not long married and explaining to my family and friends that I will not be having a party. Instead I have accepted an invitation from a woman on an Internet forum to her 40th birthday on the same weekend as mine.Grin

Booking a flight to London, an apartment in Dolphin Sq. and a table for 2 in Gary Rhodes restaurant to take her to the night before her party.

KatyaZamolodchikova · 10/02/2018 23:37

I’d have been 15. Sleeping at my mates house and getting dropped off at the Uki (Ukrainian club) for their U18 gig night. Waiting for my mates dad to leave and then sneaking into the local night club instead, getting hammered, dancing on the tables, then back to the Uki in time for getting picked up!

theoldtrout01876 · 10/02/2018 23:38

I was enjoying my first weekend alone with my kids after I threw the nasty piece of shit abusive exh out. I had a house full of noisy preteens having a sleepover. Pizza, surfing down the stairs on comforters, music and general chaos. They were not allowed to make noise when he was here, we went hog wild. It was AWESOME.
Wine was had, by me only. Much laughter and I felt GREAT.

disneydatknee · 10/02/2018 23:38

I was 13. So I probably spent my evening playing snake on my Nokia 3310, talking to my crush on msn and then in bed by 9:30!
