I’m 18...Saturday night I would now be listening to Blue and DJ Sammy getting ready to go out to the local.
I’m wearing a two-tone halterneck top, leather look trousers (size 8.. sigh) with a tassle belt. Patent wedges and my hair straightened with my Babyliss steam straighteners! Gold eyeshadow like the one Kylie wears in the “On a Night Like This” video...

Necking a bottle of 20/20 and cheap red wine.

I’ll go out with about £8 in my pocket, dance to Fragma and S Club 7, drink loads of crap (free!) thanks to my school friend who works behind the bar then cadge a couple of Regals to smoke on my way home

at school bored, messing about and then home to eat food and watch tv or play out

I am 15.
My home life is awful. I am really struggling with a big secret that could destroy my family (it didnt it just destroyed me)
I am doing a paper round and working weekends in a shop.
Also I am experiencing things I cant explain. Things I cant remember doing and hearing voices.
Things are really hard.

I know exactly what I was doing at this time in 2002.

Tis my DC's 16th birthday today

21 would have been sitting in my bed sit by myself online talking to someone I met online who I still keep in touch with now and who I actually lost my virginity to! he’s now married with a child on the way

I didn’t go out much then (or now) as I had crippling social anxiety. I spent the majority of my twenties online and must have talked to 100s of people

My second year in uni would just have started. I'd be studying A Comedy Of Errors!

I was spending a few months in Moscow! Interesting experience.
