I’ve just woken up and had an urge to make sure my Dad is OK. I’ve never had this feeling before and I can’t settle. I don’t want to wake her up unnecessarily but at the same time I’m thinking “what if....”

I’m not usually particularly woo and hadn’t had any dreams that would have unsettled me etc

I’ve asked my family to call if necessary in the middle of the night if something important actually happens. We are overseas and although waking someone in the night is usually pointless it would give me the chance to pack a case and book flights before the morning. It would be their daytime so no problems to them.

Given the distance away though I certainly wouldn’t want them to call simply to check up. I have promised I would call them if there is anything they need to know. I would avoid their night unless I needed them to make arrangements to come though.
