Katie Hopkins get the f...........ck out of my country.

When I heard that Katie Hopkins was heading down to South Africa, I nearly through up. I felt sick to the stomach. And then I thought, well if she's going for a Safari, it's not so bad. ( we do encourage tourism to help with conservation and jobs).
It turned out that that was not the case. Ms Hopkins visit to South Africa is to make a documentary for the farmers, " who are being terrorised by the blacks and being robbed of their rightful land". ( words by Ms Hopkins).

A petition was started to refuse her entry, however for some reason, she made it.
This morning I heard she collapsed after taking some drug, lord knows for what. She was saved by health workers some of them BLACK South Africans. I wonder what she thought of that!

For a woman who referred to black people as roaches among other sickening racist garbage to enter South Africa and speak and act as she wishes is quite frankly sickening.

I am angry and I know I speak for many. Angry

I have looked a long time ago and from memory it was there land the brits invaded and claimed or tried to claim it. The point actually is not whos land it is as no one will agree but the murder of innocent people white or not will make a good documentary I hope but Katie being English makes no sense why they would agree they hate the English

Seems she's off to Israel later. No doubt she'll be giving a balanced view of the situation, will be talkng to people caught up in both sides, looking at the effect on day to day life, trying to understand why people get so entrenched in their views, trying to see other people's perspectives etc etc.

Hang on....this is Hatie Katie. Someone who has had an empathy bypass and is only capable of spreading hate. It wouldn't surprise me if the guy who ran the people down at Finsbury Mosque or the person who murdered Jo Cox was a massive fan of her hate filled tweets and hung on her every word.

No, the slaves were NOT Dutch, nor were they in South Africa. The Dutch took over the land and forcibly enslaved entire communities who were otherwise unwilling to work for them. Olde you clearly have the internet - try using it a bit?!

Yes Rebecca over a million. So if they took it by force it is there's... Like the Vikings, Americans... Well almost every country was took by force in theory but the boers are still there as direct descendants so it is there's I suppose how you look at it. My family from SA who came to UK always told us it is the boers land and guess what 1 of them is black African and they told us many times the boers were there and settled there first.

And no, people don't get the right to a land for ever just because they took it by force. Otherwise we would still be under Roman or Viking rule.

Neither the Brits nor the Dutch Boers belong in South Africa or even any part of Africa. Africa was grabbed by greedy Imperialists and they should now leave the natives in charge to sort out the mess created by Dutch and Brits (like Hopkins).
Anything else is historical revisionism.

excuse my ignorance but I don't see why they can't keep their farms? As long as there is equality in being able to buy and own farms surely? If someone has lived on that farm or house for such a long time, maybe raised children there, why should they give it up? I'm not being racist when I ask this question, I just don't get the whole situation.

whitecream I think if your family has financially benefited from the inequities inherent in a system of apartheid then it is unreasonable to say that everything is fair now that the regime has changed. The white family in your example had no right to the farm in the first place and therefore shouldnt be able to keep it at the expense of the people who had it stolen from them.

Example - if I beat up my neighbour and move into his house, should I then be allowed to live in it after he's been released from the cellar where I imprisoned him? And then bequeath the house to my children?

Ivor, sadly for you, Africans are real living people with a continuous existence that can be very easily verified with current historical records and not some versions of other Europeans such as the Celts 'were'.

Attempts to deny what was a recent land grab by Europeans with an inadequate argument about Celts firmly puts you in the realms of KKK (Katie Katie Katie).

OP....KH did not refer to "black people as roaches". She said migrants were like cockroaches in that they can & do survive anything.

There are reasons enough to dislike her without making shit up for sensationalistic purposes. Although that is very common on MN. People like KH and Nigel Farage are frequently misquoted, or deliberately misunderstood to ramp up the mouth-frothing factor, and I have never understood why. They are bad enough as they are and don't need to be demonised further with fictional quotations.

If you want to quote anybody about anything, get your facts straight.
