Rose McGowan was involved in what can be politely called a "verbal exchange" with an aggressive and antagonistic transwoman at a book signing last week. Rose retaliated verbally and the person was removed from the building. You can watch it here:

The person shouting at Rose (while she was reading from her new book about the rape and abuse she has experienced at the hands of male predators) has been identified as Andi Dier, a trans activist and campaigner. Rose is suffering a huge backlash; various venues have publicly stated that they are pulling bookings for future book tour dates citing her transphobic views. Consequently, she has now cancelled all remaining public appearances.

It has come to light that Andi Dier has a history of sexual assault with minors; young women have come forward saying Andi assaulted them at the age of 12/13/14. In addition, this Twitter thread details some of the paedophilic, fetishistic pornographic content Andi has posted online.

Andi should not be taken out of the trans debate neither should the likes of Travis Albanza, who has a thing for 15 year old girls and is desperate to get into Topshop's female changing rooms.

Society is allowing sexual predators to hide in plain sight and gain access to their chosen victims because they are aligning themselves with a marginal group i.e. trans.

Rose did not lose it. She asserted HER platform to discuss HER experienced and someone who rejects the validity of HER voice took issue with it. She did not put forward anti trans, nor pro trans. She spoke about what she knows. The Women's March and these cancelled book talks are showing their fear and unwillingness to give women a platform.

I felt absolutely sick looking at those links, CAAKE. I can’t believe that we’re so far down the rabbit hole with this shit now that it goes:

woman says something completely factual (transwomen and women have different experiences)
male takes exception to this and broods on it for a number of months
woman gives talk on her sexual abuse and how she was disbelieved about it.
man yells at her for not caring about something irrrlevant to what she’s actually saying
she stands up for herself
people are falling all over themselves to fault her for her behaviour, and she gets no platformed and abused
the male turns out to have at best, very very problematic sexual tastes, and at worse to be a sexual abuser
his defenders, apparently without ANY trace of irony, are happy to conclude that any girl who says she was his victim is probably lying about sexual assault.

Another one angry about how Rose MacGowan has been treated. I actually think it's frightening that these activists are trying to silence her for speaking out about her own experiences. How the fuck is being raped and scared by Hollywood producers 'biological privilege'? Biological oppression and now it's continuing from another nasty angle.

I really don't think Rose will take this lying down. She brought down Weinstein, she started the domino, she's not going to let an angry man with a documented online history of abuse silence her.

Interestingly, I responded to Andi directly yesterday expecting to be pounced upon by his followers, and for the first time ever I've had no comeback. And that is directly on his twitter, several times.

I hope the people that have been assaulted and raped by him do report it and he gets put away, in a male prison. It didn't take long for people to find the evidence against him for his perversions.

I've looked at the Twitter link and it's just revolting. Growing up in the 80's and being told "women can do anything", watching strong, intelligent women in the media means I almost lived in a bit of a bubble as a teen, thinking women my age had everything and could be everything. It's bullshit, though.

There's no modern society where women are equal to men. There's no revolution. It's exactly like it was, just better hidden and even more deceitful.

I really hope this is public enough for the tide to turn, for people to understand that Trans is an umbrella term, that there are gender dysmorphic people who need support, but there are also cross dressing fetishists who are grim.

And that these people shouldn't be lumped together under the "trans" umbrella. It is hugely problematic and offensive to the former, as well as women.
