AIBU to buy a Persian Cat Sylvanian Family ?

I'm 34, no kids.... I always wanted Sylvanian Families when I was a kid but my Mum would never get me it as it was too expensive (I understand this now, the house I saw today was £120!) ....

Anyway, I was in Toys R Us (looking at board games) but looked around the whole store and came across the Sylvanian Family section!

There were so many I wanted but the Persian Cats stood out, they're £17! I also saw a car I quite fancied for them..

So just how sad is it if I buy them? Thinking of going back tomorrow.....

Do it! What's the point of being an adult if we can't buy the things we want if we have the money?

Go and get them, as pp said, what’s the point in being an adult with spare money, and not spending it on things you like for the pleasure of it every now and then

TK Maxx had a big sale on Sylvanian Family houses last week!

Buy them!!! My dd had them when she was little and i used to spend more time sorting their house and arranging their furniture than my own.. it is very relaxing x

Just get it. I buy myself Lego on occasion. Great for stress relief! The kids are banned from touching it though

I also like a play on the playmobil stuff when they’re in bed. I make out I’m putting all the bits and bobs away so the DC can find it all next day, but that pyramid is awesome!

I always really, really wanted a Russian doll as a child, one year I thought I was getting one bloody awful mother bought me a crappy musical box because she thought I should have what she said, not what I wanted. We were in Russia last year and I found a second hand Russian doll exactly the same as I wanted 40+ years ago. It’s a bit faded and has a couple of small cracks, so it feels authentic. Buy what you want, it’s your money, your life!

Get the caravan too. It’s brilliant.
