AIBU to buy a Persian Cat Sylvanian Family ?

I'm 34, no kids.... I always wanted Sylvanian Families when I was a kid but my Mum would never get me it as it was too expensive (I understand this now, the house I saw today was £120!) ....

Anyway, I was in Toys R Us (looking at board games) but looked around the whole store and came across the Sylvanian Family section!

There were so many I wanted but the Persian Cats stood out, they're £17! I also saw a car I quite fancied for them..

So just how sad is it if I buy them? Thinking of going back tomorrow.....

YABU if you live in London not to go to the Sylvanian Families shop in North London to check out a really good range that they do first.

Get it ! I wish I had the caravan - it's adorable . I have one little grey rabbit in my kitchen and it makes me smile .

My DD's Waddlington duck family is the cutest. And the shoe shop has the most play value for me my children.

Definitely get them. I wanted a Sasha doll when younger - bought it for myself a few years ago. She sits in my book cabinet and I think she's lovely. Off to investigate Persian cats ... my DD had the hedgehog family and a brilliant barge for the Sylvanians.

I loved my Sylvanians when I was a child - go for it! Loads of adults collect figurines of some kind or another - why not have some cute, velvety critters?

I still have all mine from childhood, dh wants to sell them as they're worth quite a bit but I love them and can't part with them.
I still enjoy looking at the SV section in toy shops when we go with the kids.

Do it! I loved Sylvanians as a kid, but because of price I only had a few from car boots - I always wanted a matching family with all the accessories. I was never into normal dolls, but Sylvanians are sooo cute!

Go for it. My sister had the rabbits 30 odd years ago. I was probably a bit old by that point for playing with them, but had the fox family and then some cats just because I liked them so much. Still have some of them somewhere.

GreasyFryUp my younger DB had a set which I was quite jealous of. Even if he doesn't like them you could still get some and claim they're for him! Wink

Do it! I had lots of Sylvanian Families as a child plus barge, hotel, tree house... I’ll be buying it all for my kids when they come along. Also Playmobil is amazing, I want some of that for me.

I'm already eyeing up a particular Lego set for 'DS'.

I'd also love him to get into Sylvanian Family, but he doesn't even like plushie toys so it's unlikely Sad

I didn't ever have them as a child but having browsed through all the sets online now I am desperate to have some! I love all the little bits and pieces! The fridge! The tv! The babies!!
