AIBU to buy a Persian Cat Sylvanian Family ?

I'm 34, no kids.... I always wanted Sylvanian Families when I was a kid but my Mum would never get me it as it was too expensive (I understand this now, the house I saw today was £120!) ....

Anyway, I was in Toys R Us (looking at board games) but looked around the whole store and came across the Sylvanian Family section!

There were so many I wanted but the Persian Cats stood out, they're £17! I also saw a car I quite fancied for them..

So just how sad is it if I buy them? Thinking of going back tomorrow.....

Do it! I love Sylvanian families! I bought a Mulan Disney Toddler doll. DP was Hmm at first but doesn’t care now. Maybe I should get some SFs!

Pssht do it, enjoy it, you only get this life make the most of it. I buy Monster High Dolls Grin admittedly I then tend to remove all of their hair and make my own wigs and clothes or buy pre-customised dolls but I have 4 currently sporting their original looks and at least 2 of them will stay that way.

If you're not hurting anyone with the things you love then no-one has the right to judge you for enjoying it.

That Mulan doll Shock I love her! I've been thinking of buying the Moana animators doll in fact next time I manage to have some spare cash I think I will pop in and pick her up.

@Greasyfryup

Why would having a boy mean that you can't buy him Sylvanian Families? Is he going to operate them with his penis?

If you can get to North London there is a Sylvanian Families shop in a lovely quiet street near Clissold Park. It's been there for years. I've been in it a few times and the customers are almost all adults. My friend opened a cafe next door and on their year anniversary the Sylvanian shop gave them an amazing gift - the cafe and the staff rendered perfectly in Sylvanian form. The level of detail was incredible. I think you'd enjoy a wander around ...

Oh, I have two Monsters High dolls too....

GreasyFryUp · 05/02/2018 09:19

@Valerrie, no. The accessories are too small for him to do that.

I buy them for my 3 year old boy. He calls them his families. I secretly plan with them when he’s not at home! Grin

I won't even tell you how old I was when I bought and played with extensively a Play Doh cinema food stand.
