Whatever anyone thinks of this man, I have to say he was pretty gutsy going up to them, considering they are all hiding behind Balaclavas and scarves and there wasn't any security there.
Most politicians wouldn't have gone near them, let alone try to talk to them

I like him. Yes his views are controversial and I don't agree with some of them, but at least he stands up for what he believes in

I imagine they probably feel the same way most Christians do. That they will carry out the manifesto of their party despite their personal feelings. The exception is free votes where they vote with their conscience.

This normally reflects the British population in that most vote in favour of progressive measures re things like gay relationships but a few don't concur. That seems about right to me, it would be worrying if we had a parliament of people who all agreed to whatever trendy orthodoxy was in this week.
