3 isn't many is it?

Here's mine

Jill Tyrell-Nighty Night
David Brent even though he annoys me so much
Basil Fawlty

Now people will come along with theirs and I'll think I've chosen the wrong ones!

Margot from the Good Life was the first one that came to mind! Not surprised she's been mentioned a lot.

Jack Donaghy from 30 Rock.

Love Niles in Frasier, but also adored Gill Chesterton.

Ah there's too many!

FloydOnThePull · 01/02/2018 13:08

Martin from Friday Night Dinner.

Great shout stickytoffee

A show that all round deserves more recognition I think

BlooperReel · 01/02/2018 13:10

Oh god yes Modern Family! I love it!

Gloria and Cam are my favourites. I also think Lily is brilliant.

Michael Kyle from My Wife and Kids makes me laugh too.

AdaColeman · 01/02/2018 13:13

Harold Steptoe

Terry Collier

Denise Royale

StealthPolarBear · 01/02/2018 13:16

Oh yes Richie. But actually I'd pick Rik the young one. And Neil.

DearSergio · 01/02/2018 13:36

Jim from Friday night dinner, he makes me die " you look niiiiiice Jackie! "
Rik from from the young ones is my spirit animal " hands up who likes Me? "
Blackadder, in all seasons but specifically goes forth

maddiemookins16mum · 01/02/2018 13:41

Trigger deserves a mention (and his broom).

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 01/02/2018 13:42

So many great characters to choose from!

Reginald Perrin
Father Dougal
Nessa from Gavin & Stacy

T2517 · 01/02/2018 13:42

I have loads but too 3..

Mac from green wing (partly because he’s just insanely good looking, partly because he’s just so dry )
Father Dougal
Bob Fossil (“and that’s why I don’t like cricket”)

5foot5 · 01/02/2018 14:21

Yes to Margot!

Nobody else for Gary from Goodnight Sweetheart?

And a new one I really like - Sister Michael, the Head Mistress from Derry Girls. "Clare, I think it's safe to say we all lost a bit of respect for you there"

gillybeanz · 01/02/2018 14:23

Del Boy
Tom and Barbara

Tallace · 01/02/2018 14:31

Uncle Bryn- Gavin and Stacey
Gareth - The Office
Jonah Ryan - Veep

gamerpigeon · 01/02/2018 14:34

Guy from Green Wing (or Mac, they are both good)
Spike from Buffy the VS
Blackadder

I seem to have a bad boy thing going on, don't I...

TacoFlavouredKisses · 01/02/2018 14:37

I'm obsessed with Modern Family at the moment so will have to say Phil, Gloria and Cam!

LittleTinyPig · 01/02/2018 14:40

I also love Spike but am not convinced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a sitcom, despite two people saying it is!

I am going for:

Malcolm Tucker
Rimmer (Red Dwarf)
Leslie (Parks and Rec)

MadMags · 01/02/2018 14:40

Cam - Modern Family
Michael - The US Office
Schmidt- New Girl

Honourable mention - Dr. Cox, Scrubs

BashStreetKid · 01/02/2018 14:42

Bren in Dinnerladies. Actually, virtually every character in that.
Fletcher in Porridge. Also Mr McKay.
Jim Hacker, Humphrey Appleby and Bernard Woolley in Yes Minister.

Yes, I know it's way over three, but I can't separate them.

Feezles · 01/02/2018 14:44

Any three of the main characters from Coupling for me. Though Jeff is my favourite. Ah, I loved that show!

HateSummer · 01/02/2018 14:46

Hyacinth Bucket
Blackadder
Trigger

TefalTester123 · 01/02/2018 14:47

Rosanne
Victor Meldrew
Malcolm Tucker

ImListening · 01/02/2018 14:48

Niles & Frasier - obviously hence my user name Grin

Margot

Queenie from Blackadder & Nursie

I know that’s more than 3 but the the combination of the first two & last two is what makes them so funny

Frasier is my favourite ever show!

dustarr73 · 01/02/2018 14:48

Ross from Friends, hes just so funny

Nan from The Royle Family and anyone from Fr Ted.

My favourite father ted episode is when Victor Meldrew is in teh caves.Thats so funny.

TheNerevarine · 01/02/2018 14:50

I also love Spike but am not convinced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a sitcom, despite two people saying it is!

YY, some of the shows mentioned are definitely not sitcoms and for some baffling reason it is making me irrationally cross. Blush

Mine would be:

Bernard Black
Father Ted
Blackadder

But reading over the thread and seeing other people's choices has made me wibble a bit.

Doctroo · 01/02/2018 14:51

Basil Fawlty

Rupert Rigsby

Albert Steptoe

3 outwardly nasty and horrible men who really are, deep inside, quite lovable.
