3 isn't many is it?

Here's mine

Jill Tyrell-Nighty Night
David Brent even though he annoys me so much
Basil Fawlty

Now people will come along with theirs and I'll think I've chosen the wrong ones!

OP posts:
StableGenius · 01/02/2018 12:37

Niles Crane.
Everyone from Father Ted but especially Father Dougal.
Margot Leadbetter

SummerRoberts · 01/02/2018 12:37

Cam Tucker from Modern Family
John and Kayleigh from Car Share. They make me cry.

I love Patsy and Edina too though.

Lovejoyfull · 01/02/2018 12:38

I see someone beat me to Alan Partridge. Such a great character.

The entire cast of Cheers were great too. Carla, Norm. Very hard to pick just one.

FintyTin · 01/02/2018 12:38

DH and I have spent whole evenings debating this. Life is so rock 'n' roll in the Tin household!
Our current top three are, in no particular order:

Blackadder (but not so much series 1)
Nessa from Gavin and Stacey
Winston from Still Game

TheQueenOfWands · 01/02/2018 12:38

Oleg from 2 Broke Girls

Moss from The IT Crowd

Super Hans from Peep Show

Sparklingbrook · 01/02/2018 12:38

Jay Cartwright from the Inbetweeners could well be my third and Will is brilliant. However Mr Gilbert is the best. Grin

BluthsFrozenBananas · 01/02/2018 12:38

Sue Heck from The Middle
Uncle Bryn from Gavin and Stacy
Tina Belcher from Bobs Burgers (I know it’s animation but it’s still a sit com)

I clearly have a soft spot for awkward teenage girls.

BluthsFrozenBananas · 01/02/2018 12:41

Super Hans, I’d forgotten him, he gets an honourable meantion.

TheCatsPaws · 01/02/2018 12:41

Hal from Malcolm in the Middle too.

ShatnersWig · 01/02/2018 12:41

Three? I can't narrow it down to three! I can do my top few British ones, don't get me started on American ones too....

Basil Fawlty
Victor Meldrew
Diana Trent
Alan Partridge
Edmund Blackadder

plus an honorable mention to Martin Brice

ShatnersWig · 01/02/2018 12:43

Oh and Sir Humphrey Appleby.

Amanduh · 01/02/2018 12:44

I’m adding Alan Partridge too. And Jim from Friday Night Dinner.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 01/02/2018 12:48

Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances - very well observed, I know lots of men just like him

The swingers from Benidorm - everything is a double entendre Grin

MrsFionaCharming · 01/02/2018 12:49

The Janitor from Scrubs (also Dr Cox and Jordan)

Dougal from Father Ted

Bryn from Gavin and Stacey.

stickytoffeevodka · 01/02/2018 12:52

Basil Fawlty
Baldrick
Chandler

But that's only my top three. Other favourites are:

Dr Cox and the janitor from Scrubs
Ron Swanson and April from Parks and Rec.
Jack from Will and Grace.
Niles from Frasier.
Frank and Marie from Everybody Loves Raymond.

stickytoffeevodka · 01/02/2018 12:53

Oh, and Bernard from Yes Minister, and Martin from Friday Night Dinner.

isthismummy · 01/02/2018 12:56

Loads of brilliant ones mentioned already, but also...

Gordon Brittas (The Brittas Empire) Absolutely loved this show growing upGrin

Dr Alan Statham (Green Wing)

Wolfie Smith (Citizen Smith)

This thread has cheered me right up today!

FritzyMousey · 01/02/2018 12:56

Three favourites in terms of funny women I'd like to be would be:
Susie from Curb (good shout pp) I like to call DH a 'sick fuck' at every opportunity
Pamelaaaar from Gavin and Stacey: she's so kind and gets herself stressed over the silliest things
Gloria from Modern Family: wish I had her accent and the funniest line from the whole show is when Jay is taking the mick and she replies :You're too funny, I'm gonna share that one with my next husband while we're spending all your money.

But also, I have to add Michael Scott from The Office US: the lovable fool!

roundtable · 01/02/2018 12:59

Loads of great ones mentioned. I'm not sure who's my top 3 but a couple that haven't been mentioned:

Alice- Vicar of Dibley (actually most of their cast)

Marie - Everyone Loves Raymond

roundtable · 01/02/2018 13:00

Oh cross posts there!

StealthPolarBear · 01/02/2018 13:03

Lister from red dwarf

CheeseCrackersAndWine · 01/02/2018 13:05

Mine would be

Sheldon (Big Bang Theory)
Chandler (Friends)
Carlton (Fresh Prince)

FloydOnThePull · 01/02/2018 13:06

Richie from Bottom

Then I'm struggling between, Mrs Doyle, Lord Flashheart, Captain Darling and Prince George from Blackwater, Officer Crabtree and Rene from 'allo 'allo, Sybil Fawlty

BlooperReel · 01/02/2018 13:06

Jay from The Inbetweeners - reminds me of every cocky teenage twat boy from school

Karen Walker from Will and Grace - Her one liners were amazing.

Cookie Lyon from Empire - No one can cuss somebody out like she can!

I have more though!

Dot Cotton (ok it's a soap) but her 'Now you know I ain't one to gossip but...' line gets me every time.

Hyacinth Bucket (it's Bouqet dear).

MrsFrTedCrilly · 01/02/2018 13:07

Fr Ted Crilly
Malcolm Tucker
Mrs Doyle

But I could go on..Smile
Thanks CheapSausagesAndSpam you’ve cheered my grey miserable day up with this! Gin
