3 isn't many is it?

Here's mine

Jill Tyrell-Nighty Night
David Brent even though he annoys me so much
Basil Fawlty

Now people will come along with theirs and I'll think I've chosen the wrong ones!

Martin from Friday night dinner, lovely bit of squirrel! And Jim.. shalom Jackie!

concretesieve · 05/07/2018 13:29

Loving this thread. I'm a great fan of Liz Smith (RIP) - both The Vicar of Dibley and The Royle Family.

YouBetterWORK · 05/07/2018 13:35

Frasier
Father Ted

Juries out on the 3rd, the contenders would be Blackadder, Bernard Black or Manny ("Right now, I'm eating scrambled eggs, with a comb, from a shoe!") from Black Books. But definitely Frasier and Ted.

I also see Niles mentioned too, there's another contender!!

LockedOutOfMN · 05/07/2018 13:38

George Costanza stands high on a pinnacle above all others

Many characters from Arrested Development - both Lucilles are great favourites of mine

I also love Beverley Goldberg, and Eric Cartman, plus Elaine Benes and Cosmo Kramer (also from Seinfeld).

Sue White (Green Wing)

CoodleMoodle · 05/07/2018 16:43

So many that have been mentioned already (Rodney, Basil Fawlty, Rimmer, Niles, Alistair from As Time Goes By, Father Ted/Dougal/Jack, Nessa, Captain Holt & Kevin, everyone from Friday Night Dinner...)

I would go for:

  1. Patrick from One Foot in the Grave. (In fact everyone from OFITG, it's my favourite ever sitcom - the car episode reminds me so much of me, DH and my best friend).
  1. Gary from Men Behaving Badly (he's a twat but I love him), with Tony a close second ("You can't release me into the community!"). Love all four of them actually.
  1. Raymond Fowler from The Thin Blue Line. Totally underrated sitcom.
