Today, first time since 2015! I know that as I’ve just found a jumper I last wore when I was pregnant.

Spartak · 31/01/2018 23:23

When I bought it when I moved into my first student house in 1996.

TheRoadLessRocky · 31/01/2018 23:23

I sorted mine into washing and binning piles today, for the first time in forever. Got to the bottom and found knickers I don't remember wearing since the old house. We moved in 2011. It's entirely possible that I just moved the laundry hamper as it was, without emptying it.

ghostyslovesheets · 31/01/2018 23:24

never - I don't have one! Everything is washed every night

EnglishGirlApproximately · 31/01/2018 23:24

Today, for about ten minutes Hmm it's half full again already, and the bedding needs doing.

Wollstonecraft1 · 31/01/2018 23:24

In the summer on super hot days when I was everything I can get my hands on. But even that only lasts until the end of the day when it is all change again.

FairVerona · 31/01/2018 23:24

Mine is empty right now but I had to wait till the kids left home to achieve this!

I did find it a few years ago but it didn't last very long.

Merryoldgoat · 31/01/2018 23:25

Last week - I found a gorgeous top I haven't worn since Christmas 2016 Blush

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 31/01/2018 23:25

I see mine most weeks AND the bottom of the 'ironing and putting away' basket.
Mainly because a year ago I threw out the entire contents of the latter. Anything that sits for weeks (or months) waiting to be ironed has no place in my house!

Merryoldgoat · 31/01/2018 23:26

It was my first week of mat leave and I did 7 loads of washing in 2 days.

gamerchick · 31/01/2018 23:27

I haven’t got one. Cat pissed in it because of ‘threats’ in the garden Hmm

So laundry is in little washable piles on the landing, I grab and bung in the machine so it doesn’t build up. Must buy one.

Aria2015 · 31/01/2018 23:27

There's a bottom!? Omg! How do I get to it? Won't someone tell me!? Wink

Bunchofdaffodils · 31/01/2018 23:28

In September. When both my children had left for university...

Changebagsandgladrags · 31/01/2018 23:29

Today, but only because the contents are now on theBay bathroom floor

c75kp0r · 31/01/2018 23:29

Gamer - forget the washbasket - how did your cat communicate the existence of threats in the garden?

BackforGood · 31/01/2018 23:29

erm..... every week.
Don't you need the clothes back that you put in there ? Confused

Weezol · 31/01/2018 23:30

Um, early 2012? There's only me and the cat...

ZenNudist · 31/01/2018 23:30

Today as i was working from home so did 2 loads and we arent long past the weekend when it was all but emptied. I love an empty laundry basket!

Sadly dc came home and its no longer empty 😉

Changebagsandgladrags · 31/01/2018 23:31

Fucking predictive text.

robindeer · 31/01/2018 23:33

Everything?! Every night?!!

Costacoffeeplease · 31/01/2018 23:33

All the time, there just two of us so it doesn’t mount up

Feelingchipper · 31/01/2018 23:35

Every week but that's because I don't wash stuff after single wears unless socks and underwear. Kids will wear most things a couple of times unless actually dirty. Life's too short to spend so much of it washing drying sorting and ironing laundry, no thanks!

gamerchick · 31/01/2018 23:35

Gamer - forget the washbasket - how did your cat communicate the existence of threats in the garden

A few weeks ago we had a slew of different cats in the garden. Going at the scraps of catnip I grow out there, walking past the windows, looking in the windows, spraying the windows while sitting on the table the strawberries are on etc. little miss was not amused, started being destructive, plaguing my life with swears and peeing in places around the house. I had to get a plug in and do loads of play to distract her and the husband concentrated on chasing the lots of cats when they appeared.

It’s calmed down now but I did like that laundry basket. She’s banned from one of the bedrooms because of the repeated pissing in the wardrobe. Funny little buggers cats!
