Most days, I put a load on every morning.

HardAsSnails · 01/02/2018 08:04

Every couple of days.

TheDowagerCuntess · 01/02/2018 08:41

The idea of worn, if not sweaty, clothes festering doesn't really appeal. I see the bottom of the basket every couple of days.

We didn't have laundry baskets growing up, as everything went straight into the machine, even if it wasn't necessarily washed immediately.

I WOTH however, so am not quite as efficient as my DM.

FluffyWuffy100 · 01/02/2018 08:43

Every weekend when I do the washing.

If you are doing more than 1-2 load of clothes per week for each member of the family (plus towels and bedding as appropriate) you are washing too much.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 01/02/2018 08:49

Usually do 2/3 loads a day and always something still needing done but mine is now empty and the basket bag is in the machine. Should see dh's ironing pile though...

ShowMeTheElf · 01/02/2018 08:56

I regularly see the bottom of mine. Alas the teen's bedroom floor is a different matter, so I'm never actually up to date with the laundry!

mamahanji · 01/02/2018 08:56

My laundry basket hasn't been empty in 4 years. We live out of blue ikea bags that live in the hallway Blush I don't even put the clothes away. No bloody point. Everyone wears exactly the same things and it goes in the wash every damn day so I'm not putting it away to come out again in 10 hours!

I HATE washing!

spiney · 01/02/2018 08:56

Always washing. Always washing.

calzone · 01/02/2018 08:57

Today!!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 01/02/2018 08:57

Sunday. But I am not smug because

a. it's a very rare occasion
b. it's full again now

JoeyMaynardssolidlump · 01/02/2018 08:58

I am going to tip them both up, have 2, and all the stuff at the bottom I am chucking. I do 2 loads a day and never catch up

WorldWideWanderer · 01/02/2018 09:01

Yesterday. Everything gets washed every week.....

LittleCandle · 01/02/2018 09:01

I'll get a few loads of washing done today (machine currently on) because I am off, but if I only get a couple done and dry it doesn't matter. It'll get done at the weekend when I am off again. It used to get emptied more regularly as I worked differing shifts all the time, but now that I am on set shifts, it gets done on certain days only.

londonrach · 01/02/2018 09:02

Last year i think. I seem to wash daily but it is like a magic cooking pot and refills when im not looking

kaytee87 · 01/02/2018 09:03

Every day or every second day. Large drum washing machine and separate dryer and put on a wash every day.

Thewomeninthemirror · 01/02/2018 09:03

Yesterday. Only as I have been off work for a few days.
However during the night my ds wet his bed and dd covered hers with poo as she had a very poorly tummy and didn’t make it out of bed in time.... twice

londonrach · 01/02/2018 09:06

Prior to dd my basket had a bottom every sunday and seemed to fill up vvv slowly

Giggorata · 01/02/2018 09:09

Every 6 months or so... having finally trained everyone else to use it, I suppose I can't complain.

AcronymsForAll · 01/02/2018 09:12

I could see it now if I wanted to. There's only the two of us. Laundry doesn't really mount up.

CalcatrippticLego · 01/02/2018 09:13

About 1 month ago. When DD emptied everything out of it so she could hide in it and jump out to scare me!

elQuintoConyo · 01/02/2018 09:14

Frequently. I don't separate darks/whtes (the first wash of black jeans, i'll try and wash with other dark stuff, but after that it is all mixed up).

Mondays i alternate wash bedding/towels. Wednesdays and Saturdays clothes wash. That's it. There are 3 of us.

Oh and once per month or so i'll wash the dog's bed and any towels she's used.

jemjemjem50 · 01/02/2018 09:16

This sums it up

To ask when was the last time you saw the bottom of your laundry basket?
ChalkItDown · 01/02/2018 09:24

Never.
DP does it. All of it. And the cleaning.
MIL trained him well

Sirzy · 01/02/2018 09:26

It’s empty now. Wash is on.

I do a wash most days but don’t waste time separating washes.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 01/02/2018 09:26

at least weekly.
just don't ask about the Leaning Tower of Ironing...
