To not want to watch woman removing her daughter's nits in Waitrose cafe

After a stressful morning thought I'd treat myself to a cappuccino in Waitrose cafe. But there's a woman with her daughter on her knees having a very thorough but removal session. Methodically going through her hair, getting the nits between finger and thumb and then flicking them onto the floor. Am I unreasonable to think perhaps she could do this in the privacy of her own home?

Not a but removal session. A nit removal session!

Report her to staff. That's gross.

Deshasafraisy · 30/01/2018 09:33

It’s a jungle out there

Singlebutmarried · 30/01/2018 09:33

Ew.

De fleaing really should be done at home. Can you catch the eye of one of the staff. I’m sure having lice on the floor of a food place is not a good look.

Eeeeeeewwwww

Backingvocals · 30/01/2018 09:35

Ugh god. Who would do this? I was horrified at a woman brushing her hair at the table in a restaurant the other day but this is a whole new level.

gamerchick · 30/01/2018 09:36

So the headlice who can crawl up someone’s heat line to the head could find a new host pretty quick then? Nice.

They’re not nice but they’re fascinating bugs. I watched a documentary on them once, they even divy themselves up evenly when it’s head to head time.

CrackersDontMatter · 30/01/2018 09:36

That is beyond grimConfused

DreamyMcDreamy · 30/01/2018 09:37

You what? Why the eff would anyone do that?!
I refuse to believe someone would do that, someone would sit and watch them do it and then post to MN whether it was OK or not!
If it was real you'd say something.

youngnomore · 30/01/2018 09:37

Definitely not in Waitrose - the horror! She should go to Asda with the rest of the plebs, if she wants to do things like that.
Hmm

Wintertime4 · 30/01/2018 09:41

What?!! Gross.

VileyRose · 30/01/2018 09:42

I feel sick!

DreamyMcDreamy · 30/01/2018 09:42

Discreetly mention it to a member of staff, surely, at least? Confused

notsohippychick · 30/01/2018 09:42

Oh god!!! This is beyond dire.

I couldn’t hold back, I’d tell her!!!

spidey66 · 30/01/2018 09:42

I stood next to a woman on the train today who was polishing her nails. The smell made me feel sick. I nearly accidentally on purpose bumped into her to make her spill it over her clothes.

Riverside2 · 30/01/2018 09:42

Why are so many people so gross?!

Rosie70 · 30/01/2018 09:42

I did give her a death stare then turned to face the bins but she seemed blissfully unaware

Vagndidit · 30/01/2018 09:44

Is this for real? Or an early morning round of Waitrose-bashing? Like it would be any less horrifying if it happened at Morrisons or ASDA.

Rosie70 · 30/01/2018 09:46

Not Waitrose bashing. I love Waitrose! Totally true. Totally gross
