Poo in my skip

Firstly I’ve got a bit of a dog poo phobia so may overreacted a little. For background, earlier this week I noticed a little black dog poo bag in the bottom of my wheelie bin which i’d left on my drive near the pavement. I know it’s silly but I was paranoid about poosplosion if any heavy item was chucked in there on top so fished out offending Poobag and walked the 5 mins to the nearest public dog poo bin to dispose of it properly. Resolved to put wheelie bin at back of house so no more dog walkers can use it. Come home today and, in an empty skip on our driveway for some building work we’re having done this week, another poobag has appeared. Aibu to find this cheeky/weird? I know skips are to an extent fair game but putting poo in it! Angry

Skips are emptied by hand - the employees doing that job have signed up to sort household/building rubble. Not dog shit

I want to reiterate this. My builder confirmed it when we had multiple skips for a renovation. The skips are hand sorted to pull out recyclable materials. Do people think it all just gets dropped in landfill?? See the climate emergency, are people not glad this is happening?

So yes, some poor sod has to sort through the skips and they should be subjected to dog shit as that’s not the job they signed up for.

We challenged multiple people on throwing it in our skips, but they don’t care. One woman did it whilst she could see me watching her from my front room. I was tempted to follow her and post it through her letter box to be honest.

That’s disgusting OP, I wouldn’t dream of a) not picking up after my dog and b) putting the disposal bag in someone else’s bin or skip...
IMO if people are too squeamish to carry their dog’s full poo bag to the next convenient disposal bin, they shouldn’t be allowed to keep dogs (or cats, other pets or children)!

ToffeePennie · 23/04/2021 15:11

It’s just plain disgusting, no matter what people say.
Take your shit home with you. I don’t care if it’s a mile or 50 miles, your dog, your shit, your problem. Not mine.
Or are all those dirty mingers who sling their shit in other peoples bins saying it’s ok for me to come round and add my guinea pigs shitty pissy sawdust to their bins?

maddening · 23/04/2021 15:21

Husky, here some are 3 weekly collections and the bin stored by your back window, who wants dog shit outside their window for 3 weeks.

thereisnohelp · 23/04/2021 15:55

Er, guys, this was three years ago....the poo is gone, the skip is gone, the dog might even be dead......
